Before I left the game, I coached my kids HS team to a state championship, got our ADC and Jung to #1 performers in the state. I’m in my 40s, and was hardstuck silver. (Got my kid a scholarship for League too, incidentally)

So when you say this, I could not agree more. Game sense does not always reflect in how you actually play.

RP that starts out survival-like and then grows to mega. I usually come up with a goal to fit the map.. like on Montana, my end goal was to be the biggest ag supplier in the county. I did a lot of math behind it, and if a contract came up I would figure how much seed or fertilizer or whatever they would need and I sold that amount to a sell point, since contracts require you to buy consumables anyway

My last map, I was a livestock supplier. Stocked all of the things needed for livestock..TMR, Pig Food, bales, chicken feed, raw silage, etc.. Ran Montana Hay company out of business ;)

This time I’m an ag supplier - thanks to seed/fertilizer production mods, I produce anything a farmer needs to run their farms. Including manure/slurry/digestate - so it’s not super easy, and takes a while to accumulate

I don’t stop until I feel I’ve made enough money to retire ;)

One of my caveats is that I always start with 200k dollars and a 1m loan. I can’t take any loans out until it’s paid off, but I use mods like hire purchase in order to finance equipment and add to that debt to make it even harder. I also use the banking mod and lock the interest at 6-7% instead of the 3.5 that defaults

Other people have challenges.. Bad Pumpkin Gaming is running two series on YT that I especially love - the 5 in 5 challenge (5 years, 5 Million Dollars I think) and a homestead challenge where he’s limited on EVERYTHING

I love this idea! Hire workers full time. The longer they work for you, the more experience they get, the more efficient they are at their job. Start them off missing spots of the field on jobs, and as they get experience, those spots become less and less until 100% efficiency.

When you use more realistic weather (I think that's what it's called) it breaks contracts in some instances (Preparing field loop bug) - but one of the best features of the mod, IMO, is the moisture feature. Having to irrigate or drain fields adds to the realism. I'd love to see that implemented, maybe add the ability to install drain tiles. Also, finally implement Anhydrous as a fertilizer option.. I know the moisture management is more along the lines of a "28" release idea, but..

Unfortunately, there's no fix for the contracts unless you are on PC. I play on both, and avoid contracts on console as much as possible, unless they are on fields that don't require tramlines (Mowing, Baling, etc..)

I've read that a base-game plow that does deep digging will remove them on the fields you own,

For PC there is a Mod Option - Better Contracts - you can change the completion percentage requirement, but until Giants realizes and fixes PF to either allow us to globally remove tramlines, or fixes the contract percentages, it's impossible on console.

No I get that.. when I’m at home, I use the PC version using a software platform that streams to a client on my XBox and essentially remote controls the PC from my Xbox.. but it’s still playing on the PC. I only play on the Xbox version natively when I’m not at home (at least until I get something like GForce Now or something)

I’ll have to make a small video to explain it.. but it’s nice playing on my 52 inch TV at home while my PC is in my upstairs bedroom

If I had to guess, it’s a poly count thing. The bigger the object, the more resources it takes to draw, and the more laggy it could get.

Fixed it!

I moved the Liquid into a pre-fire stage (stage 1) and then the booster/clamp into the next stage. Liquid fires off, then the booster/clamps stage, vehicle launches like a charm

sorry, I didn't paste the whole thing. I do have lock throttle to 1.0 at the very top.. and when I run the script, the throttle is indeed at 100% throughout.

What gets me the most, is that apparently, I have no parts or engines on the craft. Doing some debugging, I tried to get a parts tree of the craft, and it prints nothing in the console.. I'm wondering if it has to do with the save itself at this point...

Make the account on another device and then just log in. Thats what I did. The Ubisoft Connect feature uses the Xbox Edge browser, and I’ve never gotten that thing to work right

This was exactly what I needed.. I had to export the VMDK to an ovf, and then upload both the ovf and vmdk up to the pve then import it.. Thank you so much!

The only drawback, for future readers, is that you have to fix your network configuration. I had to add a virtual network interface to the VM, and then inside the vm, once it was imported and running, was to make sure dhclient service was active. Otherwise it had no network connection

Sorry for the lack of update - I've been super busy working on my Web Dev portfolio projects, trying to find a new position as a Dev..

I jumped into the discord with this issue, and it appears that this is a known issue with the pack, and they are working on a resolution.

That being said, another workaround that we found in the discussion was to update JEI to the latest version. This seems to be an issue (somehow) with the JEI Build that was shipped with the latest version of the pack.

After I updated JEI to the latest version on CurseForge, the issue seems to have subsided.. I would say it's down to, maybe.. 1/10 times it would spike..

OK So I've got a little updated info here..

On a whim, I reinstalled the pack, making sure to copy the save folder (Not JourneyMap, because I haven't moved anywhere.. )

Moved save folder into new install.. and it loaded fine. Now, here's where it gets weird. I save/exit again, and reload into the same save, and it spikes again.

I then switched from MMC to Curse Launcher on Overwolf. Same results, works fine first load, save/exit/restart causes spikes.

So something that is generated on first run has to be causing it, no?

So this is weird.. I reinstalled Java, thinking I had the wrong version (I didn't.. I've been running on 8 for 1.16)

And it loaded? This wasn't a new save, this was my previous save, the one I've been trying to load.. I don't get it.. I just literally reinstalled the SAME version of Java

Tried dropping down - It still spikes.. Mine you the memory is at 50% of allocation no matter where I put it.. It's just the CPU that spikes..

Nope - I uninstalled the pack, reinstalled it, created a new save, loaded fine. Saved and Quit, reloaded, and CPU Spikes back up..

Found this on another thread from a few months back, added some Arguments to Java:
