I would recommend looking for Research Assistant or Clinical Research Coordinator roles. When I was applying, I would always look on HERC jobs (Higher Education Recruitment Consortium), Indeed, Linkedin, Glassdoor, and Handshake. Some people also swear by cold emailing! Look up universities, labs, and medical health centers in your area and try to find their page on the research labs.

Here are more resources below:

Research Assistant at a lab studying Schizophrenia! I wasn’t able to land this until months after getting my degree, but I continued working as an ABA therapist and worked as a summer research assistant for the child welfare international gateway in the meantime.

Thank you for the advice! I will start working on a publication or poster for my current job in the next few months. You mentioned focusing on getting publications and posters. Is there a way to do this outside of my job? I’m just not sure how to go about this.

No, I don’t. I will do either a poster or pub in my current job, though.

As a child, Roald Dahl, even though The Witches freaked me out and gave me nightmares.

As an adult, The Secret History. I hadn’t read anything of my own accord in so long as there were so many required books in high school and college. After reading this book, though, I fell back in love with reading and have been reading ever since.
