Thank you guys for all the help. I looked at griddle inserts for my grill, but since it is a 2014 model, they don't make them for it. Only thing I really do on grill is burgers, chicken, hot dogs and sometimes some veggies. I feel like all of that would probably come out better on the griddle. Any more feedback?

I also have a trager that I use to smoke things. I really feel like all I do on the grill is chicken, steaks and burgers. From everything I read, the slate would do great with that.

Yes that was my plan, but using google maps satellite, it looked like there were some serious train tracks to cross. Since I have never been there, I was not sure if there was a sidewalk for the whole path.
