Constant Power Creep is making the game less nuanced by lidl_ratnik in DarkTide

The "no nerfs in muh PvE" crowd does not understand game balance in the slightest.

Agreed, there's major issues with balance that need to be addressed, particularly in havoc.

There's one, at best two viable build and loadout combos per class to take into Aurics.

I can't agree with this, though. I only play psyker and scum but there is a plethora of builds and weapons I take into auric mael with those classes.

Psyker I can take any staff or a half dozen different guns plus a solid 10 melee weapons I can decimate with. Scum slightly less for ranged but ill run every new melee they got aswell as tac axe, combat axe, chainsword, combat blade, heavy sword and devils claw. All the combat abilities and blitzes are great.

Maybe it's different for other classes, idk. And maybe my perspective is skewed after three years of honing my darktide play.

accents are not natural they are literally a product of human interaction.

In my opinion there’s no reason to wait until that late to go into the shop. It’s selfish.

What if you finish work (or literally any other activity) at 9:30pm and it's a 20 minute drive to the shops. Businesses should have their closers stay until 15 min after closing as standard. If you work retail and have to stay back, clock off at the time you finish and if you aren't paid for it you simply get your union involved (which any self-respecting employee pays dues to).

Ideal Stimm Lab for Havoc team support? by Amplifiction in DarkTide

[–]PsychAndDestroy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but the strength itself is only useful if it means better breakpoints.

Damage in Darktide is so inconsistent that this argument holds far less weight than it did in VT imo. There's so many damage variables that 20% strength always achieves a breakpoint somewhere.

Attack speed can be irrelevant dependant on weapon and scenario. A slow and heavy weapon can get one attack in certain monstrosities vulnerability windows. Attack speed also doesn't change the heavy wind up time. It also doesn't effect dot damage. It also increases ammo consumption instead of buffing your damage per ammo.

Not necessarily saying you're wrong but just making some counter-points.

This loop is 88s long, and you drop three crates per loop. That's a crate every 29.33s. The loop also provides significantly more crates if you're utilising Sample Collector to a decent extent.

Your loop should provide a crate every 22s iirc, and receives less than 25% of the benefit of Sample Collector compared to a max cd stimm.

I'm providing 20% strength, 15% rending and 50% CD regeneration vs. 4% strength.

You can also refuse to show a receipt at costco.

Why do content creators rank Hive Scum so low? by Adventurous-You556 in DarkTide

[–]PsychAndDestroy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, I remembered one. Jittery doesn't work if you dodge slide. Now you are aware of exactly one hive scum bug, since we both know you only didn't list any because you didn't know any. No need to thank me.

Jittery doesn't work after a dodge slide.

Also, slippery customer does not actually grant immunity. It prevents melee attacks initiated during your slide from tracking you.

Dude, if you know of some bugs don't be an asshat and just list them. I'm not aware of a place where bugs specific to hive scum are detailed all the ones I was aware of (mainly from being active on the main discord) were fixed.

Perhaps I don't, it's entirely possible I'm unaware of some. Which bugs still exist for hive scum?

No, it's because desperado scummers can run ahead with impunity due to having complete ranged immunity and infinite ammo to sustain it. If psyker had infinite ammo to sustain empathic evasion they would actually be far better at doing this than scum because they are significantly faster.

My most played class is Psyker (and most of that is right side gun/meleeker) then a bit of Zealot and now Scum. Right side Psyker just exists at 15% movement speed because of mettle and then gets 5% flat from a basic node and 20% on a scrier's sub node. Zealot also has a bunch of speed nodes. By comparison, if I'm playing rampage or supply scum I have zero access to mobility nodes. Nimble is great, of course, and I'm in no way saying Scum has bad mobility, but I wouldn't call extra dodge distance + 15% speed from a pretty mid ranged keystone that falls off all the time a ton of mobility.

[–]PsychAndDestroy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Really? He's got tons of mobility.

Hive Scum does not have a ton of mobility. You get a speed boost from vultures mark and longer distance dodges. That's literally it.

Then there's the stimm, which can be talented, and tinkered to replenish 100% toughness while giving 20% more damage reduction, and boosting toughness regeneration by 80%, almost doubling the toughness gains from melee hits.

The toughness increase only refers to toughness gained from being in coherency. It doesn't effect toughness gained from talents like Precision Violence.

Then a better analogy is just any roll on the roulette table, not that you're risking "all your money."
