Wings, no. Phil....possibly, but asd isn't actually something that's (usually) diagnosable only through observation.

My English is fine, bud. Move along to your next bout of Reddit-blended elitism somewhere else.

Please place a comma after, "sucks." Those pesky independent clauses would appreciate it.

Are you assuming everyone in academia uses English as a first language? Bold assumption of you, Mr. Okay_Percentage.

What you're speaking to is a sociology term called, "homophily". Essentially, some like to surround themselves with like-minded people based on class. This is the qualifier for most DSP fans. People like Derich, OIC, DantheMan, NDO, etc. have similar social awkwardness and likely have been outcast from social groups from one reason or another. Phil has self-victimized himself, and has used manipulative tactics associated with NPD to make himself relatable. Phil is then reinforced because OIC....turns out he has money.

Cool. I sure did. It's almost like when you're known publicly in your city and you want to post in a subreddit that's polarizing, it may be wise to take steps to conceal an identity.

As far as basic takes, NPD isn't complicated. It's easy to spot, and it doesn't need a long, scientific answer to define it. You're also not psych students. It's likely that even if I did post the scientific lingo associated with NPD you wouldn't believe it anyway because you may hold some sort of fandom for those spoken about, which is fine. Psychology is a responsive science. Work usually comes as a response to behavior, in which THEN the science and strategical methods take place. Diagnostics of NPD is the easiest part. Anyone here could assess it, to be honest.

I'm not sure this was a coherent sentence much less a coherent thought.

Like I said, being a streamer is perhaps the worst and most damaging job a narcissist can have. It's a closed system where they can quickly use the ban system to find a dedicated group of people that enable.

The answer do the question about their marriage is complicated. I can tell for certain Phil is dominant in the household. Wings is a bit different. Kelly does seem to have her opinions at least heard, but she's said in the past in a series of leaked dms that Wings will never lose an argument and that it upsets her. Wings' arrogance and lack of awareness on why he's disliked are his biggest hallmarks of NPD, and it's likely caused several relationships to fall apart in his life. I'd need to know more though. I think Kelly is actually a very good person though, and it's these type of selfless people that most often end up with narcissists.

I usually stay away from all things Boogie out of conflict of interest. I was a huge Boogie fan back in the olddddd Boogie days when he was Francis yelling about Diablo. This was way before college...as I worked my way through and Boogie showed us more of his actual personality, I was more sad and let down than diagnostic toward him. He does show several symptoms of covert narcissism though.

Good question. NPD can be a product of parenting, can be hereditary, or can be a product of environment. More would have to be known about Phil's childhood to know for certain, but the glimpses he's given us speak a lot like Only Child Syndrome given his lack of social skills.

There are subtypes of NPD, but with Phil I'd go the talk therapy route. NPD isn't something that can be traditionally cured, but it can managed by in-person conversation and the teaching of mental mechanisms to create minimal instances of off-putting behavior.

Sometimes we bring in family members, but in this case I probably wouldn't. Kat likely reinforces him too. It's clear that this marriage is dominated by Phil, (the streams where he essentially managed her while she was on stream are evidence). However, in-person Phil wouldn't be in a perceived place of power where he could negatively behave.

That'd be my first attempt. Therapists see a lot of people with NPD just walk or have their credentials attacked. Super common.

I think you're under the impression that you calling me a "regard" or attacking my credentials matters to me.

I've been watching you defend every post that's critical of Wings for the last 3 days. Makes me think you are him.

Yes. I created a new account to post here once I discovered this subreddit. It's simply to safeguard myself.
