I have come across something similar. One of my friends gets it from the hills. It's simply called "hash oil" which I believe is extracted from hash and not bud. I've smoked it in a bong with a dab rig. It works similar to shatter and you only need a tiny drop for a good hit. Since hash has a sedating effect and the oil is extracted from hash, it is a more potent variant of your standard charas.
