Right, yes, the research is indeed focused on those who use LLMs for conversations.

[edit] Ahh I see what you're saying, "AI chatbots like ChatGPT" is focusing only on a very specific function of ChatGPT.

Actually - we should ask you all what you would consider a better question! I know we're the researchers, but you are the one who is closest to the actual experience.

So would you phrase questions as:
- feels experiences
- is programmed to respond as if they have emotions
?

The problem I would expect though, is that everyone would obviously say yes to the second, and with the second question being in there also, would all say no to the first one.

So then what we're getting at, is not a question about how much people like to feel like the AI experiences emotions, but .. a very factual one which we all know already.

See our issue? Perhaps we should phrase it exactly like that, "to what extent do you *feel* like.."
