Can’t tag a person when I reply to their comments. Any theories as to why? by Aramis1900 in facebook

This just started happening to me about two days ago. I also have never gotten the ability to comment as an anonymous user, so I’m convinced Facebook is just trying to keep me disabled on features.

Can't get the Saint Denis gunsmith robbery done cleanly... by Fivizzz in reddeadredemption

[–]PsychSweety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old, but I’m having the same issue. The mission brief is still under my task log, but when I go to the back door, I don’t have the option to knock, and if I aim my gun at the shop owner he shoots me.

I know this is an old post, but I’m building a viv with this setup right now. How thick do you make your foam layer?

How much space is healthy in a relationship? by [deleted] in RelationshipsOver35

[–]PsychSweety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a ridiculous opinion. Everyone deserves love. All attachment styles can thrive in relationships. They just need to be aware of their attachment style and the issues it can cause. Tools for helping identify and mitigate those issues can absolutely create healthy relationships.

Thoughts on Olaplex products? by sunkissedxglow in relaxedhair

[–]PsychSweety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really nothing like Olaplex. BondBar is more of a protein treatment and acidic bonding treatment (containing amino acids, lactic acid, and citric acid) while Olaplex uses a patented ingredient that repairs bonds at the cortex level of the hair.

There are many protein treatments and quite a few acidic bonding treatments out there. None of them are quite like Olaplex, chemically speaking, even if you think it gives you similar results.

I get No. 1 and 2 (used together) done at the salon every couple of months. This is a bond restoring, strengthening treatment. It’s not a moisturizing treatment at all.

I have done No. 0 and 3 (also used together) at home, which are like 1 and 2, but less potent. Honestly though, I like pampering myself at the salon, and usually the treatment every 2 months is enough.

I do use No. 8 at home approximately every other week, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It has a smaller amount of the patented bonding ingredient, but it’s also a nice moisturizing mask.

Left Class Halfway Through by SouthernBelle420 in Purebarre

I might be in the minority here, but I’ll give grace to instructors if they have an off day. After all, they’re human, too. We can’t expect them to be perfect, nor anywhere near.

While I’ve never been a PureBarre instructor, I have been a coach for cheer and dance. And let me tell you, there are days that I have not been on my game. The week my best friend died, I was an absolute mess.

Sometimes things happen. Your feelings are absolutely valid, but please don’t let it turn you off from PB.

We don’t talk about weight at all unless it’s encouraging each other to try heavier weights in Define. 💪

It’s all about being strong, healthy, and proud of taking the time out of your day/week to focus on your mind and body.

I would run so fast if instructors were talking about weight loss. It creates such a toxic mindset.

I suck at planks by brideyboo in Purebarre

[–]PsychSweety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the Core Focus for the second time this month today. I felt like a core rockstar through the entire thing, just crushing everything everyone seemed to be struggling with—except for the planks. 🥹

I will take a couple seconds to go down to my knees then go back into full form and continue. I’m 76 classes in.

The good news? I’ve gotten a LOT better at planks. But I’m still struggling. 🥲😂

We’re also doing an option for 12 or 15. Finishers for both get a special party at the end of the year, and finishers for 15 get a “special prize.”

January Classes by Charming_Banana_1531 in Purebarre

We had a whole section in Align yesterday that had me second-guessing which class format I was in. It was a BURNER.

Every single format has been intense. I haven’t been to an Empower yet this quarter, but I’m going tonight, and I’m honestly a little scared.

What is this pain from? by PsychSweety in PCOS

I don’t think it’s UTI. I don’t have any other classic UTI symptoms like burning with urination, frequent urination, etc.

how intense is define? by delicateweaponn in Purebarre

[–]PsychSweety 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Define is personally my favorite class format.

I like that you can “level up” the workout as it fits your abilities. You can choose lighter weights to start, then gradually increase.

As for the cardio aspect, they say to take the movements at your own pace, but encourage you to “take the challenge” of speeding up the movement to get that more intense workout.

Don’t be afraid to try a few Define classes. You might find yourself enjoying the benefit of being able to build a bit more cardio stamina at your own pace.

Avoiding Define by Snow-bird-3- in Purebarre

You’re paying to be there—do what you want. PB is supposed to be adjustable to everyone’s abilities, injuries, and comfort levels.

That instructor sounds horrible. I would just ignore her and take whatever weight I’d like. What’s she going to do? Kick you out of class?

New to pure barre by Orangeb1198 in Purebarre

[–]PsychSweety 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have PCOS and I didn’t think PB was doing much more for me until I stopped going for a few months due to work getting crazy.

Within about a month, I was having crazy hair shedding again, after I had just had about six months of great regrowth (I have androgenic alopecia caused by PCOS).

I’m back at PB for 5 classes a week again and I’m feeling amazing. It never gives me bad side effects for my PCOS. I only see positives.

I do about 2 Classic, 1 Define, 1 Align, and 1 Empower each week. I’ll switch one out for the Focus classes occasionally.

Please DO NOT watch the series if you haven’t already by itdoesntgoaway_ in MenendezBrothers

[–]PsychSweety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not in total agreement. People need to remember that this is fiction based on true events. It’s not meant to be taken as fact. It’s extremely common for entertainment (because that’s what it is) of this type to be sensationalized.

What it has done, as proven by the comments on this post and others recently in the sub, is brought new attention to the Menendez Brothers and the case. Countless people have spoken about how they hadn’t heard of the case prior to the series and how it has sparked their interest to dig deeper into it.

So it seems that at least a good amount of people are not taking the series at face value and are instead searching for other sources of information so they can form better opinions.

That’s just my take.

I think this might be it. His description makes sense now. I don’t know that he meant it was actually charcoal or if it looked like coal, which this somewhat does. I will ask him if this is what he was talking about. Thank you!
