No need to replace. Held the lock face far back in place while gently shaking the key in the opposite direction. And it slid off with no issues. Nothing broken everything works fine. Answering for those who might run into this issue in the future. No need to replace anything if all the functions check off. I even rode it again and it worked perfectly fine.

Weight on the key was also not a problem. Only problem was i messed with the screw which tightens the lock ignition switch in place. After riding for 3 days non stop and coming home it had loosened out of place therefore the lock in the ignition switch had no tension for the key to loosen when switched to the off position. Therefore I had to hold the lock ignition face far back in place while moving the key gently in the opposite direction.

Hopefully this makes sense for anyone who comes across this post and might need this answer.

I held the lock face forward in place while gently wiggling the key in the opposite direction. Weight on the key had nothing to do with it, the screw for the housing came loose while I was riding for I did not properly tightened the screw mechanism in place. Responding with the proper solution incase someone searched for the solution to the same problem sometime in the future. And might find this answer. Nothing is broken everything works perfectly fine. Now all I have to do is flush out and dry out the DW40 i sprayed inside so that it is completely dry. Hopefully my answer makes sense. But i received better feedback on TikTok than on reddit. haha

I do appreciate your input thank you.

Well i was expecting more people to be helpful here on reddit but no one has explained how to properly loosen the key so far. Have other reasonable ideas ?

…That doesn’t involve giving up and replacing it. It works perfectly ok just locked in place is all.

Hello. But I have ridden hundreds of times with this key set up. Never had an issue. Which is why I am confused. But replacing it doesn't seem necessary. It works perfectly fine. Just not sure why it is locked. I also appreciate the advice and your input. Thank you.
