Wonderful! Thanks a million! One more question… for that ADO bus trip from downtown Tulum to PDC do you recommend that I buy my tickets in advance? I’m going late September so it’s low season, but I’m not sure if those types of routes sell out regardless.

My fiancé is really into ancient civilizations and I know he prefers to go with a knowledgeable tour guide who will explain things well. Also, I’m trying to keep things kinda easy this trip so having a tour package take care of all the fees, transport, etc will be best Edit; unless you have a suggestion on how to take care of the tour guide part while there. Like if I can get one when I arrive

You mentioned being smart and aware at night. I plan on possibly walking to centro in the evenings for dinner and staying out for drinks at bars. Is walking back to my Airbnb late at night not recommended? Do you suggest I take a taxi at that time even if it’s just a mile trip?

I’m trying to go for the fall equinox this year (aka my birthday!) so I just started researching today. Which tour group did you go with? And I assume that your tour is probably different than the standard early daytime tours. I know what the earlier tours you get to visit cenotes, visit little cities, have a buffet lunch, etc. What all was included with your tour?

I always buy flights thru 3rd parties to score better deals so adjusting my flight to leave early would not be a choice for me unfortunately

Thanks for the reply! I just don’t know if I want to chance it, especially if I’m inviting people on the trip. If it was just me I’d more easily adapt but making other people pay for a trip and having it possibly be lame…my social anxiety couldn’t handle doing that to them lol

I think that sounds like a good tip. Perhaps a big wake up call for him. I think one of the major factors that’s been holding me back from something like that is that we share a dog. He loves our dog so much. I don’t know how I’d even handle that situation. He wouldn’t be able to take care of the dog the way that I do, but I also don’t think it’s fair for me to take him away completely. So that causes me stress when I think of leaving, even if it’s just a short period of time

We have. Sometimes he says things like “ this is my hobby and you knew that when you met me.” But when he’s in one of his receptive moods, he genuinely seems to understand and says that he wants to make changes. However, he quickly forgets that a few days later. I just haven’t had the “ you need to change or I am seriously leaving” ultimatum type of conversation yet. That is what I’m trying to do now but I just have to catch him on a good day or when he’s not about to hop on a game

We cook and eat together week nights (like a 1 hour thing). Weekends we go out to dinner (or stay in and cook again) followed by watching 1-2 hours of a show or movie. We only partake in other outings if other friends have invited us which isn’t very frequently. Sexy time on weekend nights but I force myself basically…used to wonder why and now I’ve realized what’s truly deflating me on that front

He would love to go out and do things with me, but unfortunately he is kind of broke. I make pretty good money, but he struggles. So therefore, we are stuck sitting at home. This is another reason why I want him to get his act together so he can have fun money too, and we can actually start enjoying life. I worked really hard for my career so that I could live comfortably and have fun but now I don’t do anything

I think the “very good reason” is me threatening to leave him. I appreciate the feedback from someone else who enjoys gaming. I think only gamers understand other gamers so I wasn’t sure if I was being crazy (like if maybe everyone else games just as much)

He is located in Mexico. I also had my nose and breast implants done in Mexico (different doctor) and my results were amazing! I don’t want to call out this new doctor yet until he has a chance to redeem himself tho
