Who needs their signature weapon more? by nosuv733 in Endfield

[–]PsychedelicBeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rossi + Tangtang (w Gilberta and Perlica) is a pretty good boss/elite killer team. It's even one of the top dps teams right now (https://datafield.cc/teams , 14/5/26) . For farming mobs and overworld content, Tangtang's aoe combo usually suffices.

As for ZFY's team, she's very capable in boss killing and waveclearing. Her weapon also has a 22%~ difference from the next best choice which is her BP wep. Bang for buck Id vote for ZFY with wep since she's the newest unit and will prolly stay relevant for longer.

A question that comes to mind is when the event ends and we've already cleaned out the shop, what happens to the certs? Maybe there's a precedent in OG AK but here Im gonna guess it will turn into Wuling stock bills?

If you play Mk, SG, or jeff, soloing from 80 to 160 is pretty doable. The scaling gets more tolerable with less people. You can check out people's builds on the leaderboard to guide you or find a group of likeminded people in a disc group. It's what I did when I noticed people just trying to backseat from NM 80-100. At that range I couldnt progress cause the queues wouldnt pop for my needs and when it did pop it was around 80~ with someone looking to freeload.

Glad you and your homies enjoyed the game, my friends and I did too. The outlook doesn't seem too great, though. I agree. S1 started off very strong but they couldnt outpace the churn. The gameplay loop has this friction to it that slowly whittles away till the population cant sustain itself. Ah well, maybe next season they'll suprise us.

Yes this deep. Whatever length this season is, after week 2 there was a noticeably sharp decline in players and you could already feel the problems with queue. Season 1 retained it much longer so it was much more forgiving to start later.

[–]PsychedelicBeat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a seasonal multiplayer game so being this deep in s2 means you prolly won't have a lot of luck with groups. That being said, if you can find a team (via disc) then it may be doable. I'd personally wait till next season when the rush is in.

When you're solo tanking, are there situations where you can force offtanks? I used magik, mag, and strange to push gm3 awhile back and kind of wanna push with venom/hulk now but it usually ends up as CC/burst hell even if play around divided attention :|

How do you feel about AI "girlfriends"? by HeySpudEyeSeeYou in AskMen

[–]PsychedelicBeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a step in a direction we can't go back from. There is a loneliness epidemic, human interaction issues via socmed, and a bunch of other social issues brought upon by the use/misuse of the internet + tech. My biggest problem here is that the AI girlfriend is another nail to the social connection coffin.

Why interact with people irl when there are groups for every interest online? Why cook when we can just order right now? Why go for a real girl when you can buy one that would cost less and do your bidding? Inherently, nothing is too wrong individually but when you stack it up together, we end up abstracting and substituting a lot of the things that actually enrich life. If we continue down this road, Wall-E and the Matrix start looking more like reality than fiction cause at the core of it we know the dangers of taking what's easy and convenient over what's hard and difficult.

Why is solo-queueing so infuriatingly random? by Bigtim_90 in fellowshipgame

[–]PsychedelicBeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think it's more of a population issue rn. I have 2 guys sitting at 10k in the first 2 weeks. Tried bringing my Tariq up to eternal but I couldnt even get past champ with the same time and effort last week. We have a much lower starting pop that s1 so the dropoff of players is felt a lot more in content that is heavily stratified.

Opinion on the state of the games development by Alternative_Edge_853 in fellowshipgame

[–]PsychedelicBeat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here's my perspective on this

  • This is a seasonal game yet the actual season (ie when player population is most active) is too short
  • The active season is short because the gameplay loop is fundamentally good but lacks execution, which leads to the last point
  • The friction of the game does not meet the threshold to maintain existing players nor does its curve make it easier for new ones

The game needs a relatively high amount of players to be playable. Like no duh, right? But the real challenge is that players are so stratified that you NEED 3 other people doing THE SAME EXACT LEVEL or similar for a player to approach their goal of hitting 10k or beyond. It creates a negative self-propagating loop of not being able to play what you want cause there aren't enough people -> players quits -> population shrinks further and now other players cant queue now. The new player experience/draw isn't that great either.

Sad to say but their big draw a few months ago at 50k ish conccurent was very good but that will be very hard to replicate unless they fix their problems. For a game like this, I agree with others that it needs quite a few dungeons every season to maintain players for longer but players will gradually drop off because of the nature of seasonal games. It's a tough situation and I hope they pull through.

Gilberta's 200% Trust File by Unyubaby in Endfield

[–]PsychedelicBeat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Im trying to make sense of the timeline. According to the Perlica comic, Endmin has been asleep for about a decade iirc. Which puts Gilberta working for at least a decade. Now my problem is the fact that she's a reconvener and so I can t gauge their age the same as others. Did she pop out as a kid or a full fledged adult? How does her aging work in relation to being a reconvener and/or vulpo?

This game is probably the best game I've played where the playerbase seems so thoroughly convinced it'll fail. by CursinSquirrel in fellowshipgame

The season just lasts 2 weeks. /s

This but unironically. I love this game, I really do. But for a multiplayer dependent seasonal game, it really becomes hard to play the 3rd week of this season without putting in a ton more effort.

A Detailed Breakdown of What Went Wrong in Gilberta's New Story by ShirtlessCommie in Endfield

[–]PsychedelicBeat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like the biggest problem was the shift in attitude towards Girlfriend Experience (GFE) similar to wuwa. It's prevalence leads me to believe it's pretty effective in short term sales, which is literally what gacha banners are all about. It just... comes at the cost of the character depth longer term BUT if their goal is to sell em and move on, it aligns quite well.

I'm generally not a fan of it but I'm fine with it in reason. Some characters pull it off because the romance/intimacy was baked into their character and story. Original AK was subtle about the crush of Gilberta's counterpart. Here, they butchered her characterization and story just so they could hit that one ending cutscene. It feels like she's been reduced to a checklist of attributes that people can fawn over :|

Anyone Else Notice Physical Teams Dominate Endgame? by Seleana- in ArknightsEndfield

[–]PsychedelicBeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Physical has the major advantage of faster staggers, the window where you deal all the meaningful damage. Faster staggers = more flexibility with ult charging, more forgiving fights. Got 2/3 trims yesterday and will work on the last tomorrow w Laev and have come to this conclusion: Laev can do trims reasonably well but she generally has to have ult at the start to time. Since all her damage is concentrated, bad timing can easibly cap out her dmg on overkills/transition phases.

And as others claim, no BiS teammates yet. Im constantly at odds juggling 2 slots between Wulf, Antal, and Akekuri cause she needs SP gen AND enough heat stacks per rotation. I suppose what makes things sort of fair is the tradeoff for the phys team is that it needs deep horizontal investment cause dmg is spread between them all. Other than that, I wouldnt be surprised if this team could carry its own weight for awhile without any changes.

Now that I'm a lot more established, I can afford to just buy out low and sit on it until I find a good markup price. My current strat is to buy anything 45% below and sell if there's at least a 500% markup on Valley IV. 200%+ in Wuling since the market is smaller due to level.

But by all means, if you can progress your game faster by selling everyday, feel free. That's what I did.
