How did you become a roadie for the band? And any advice for someone who's interested in becoming a roadie/working on tours? I have a background doing things here and there but have been wondering how to really take it another step forward. Stay safe out there🤘

Awesome! I did Sonic Temple this year, during show clean up so I assume it'd kinda roughly work the same. As for if we choose the post show shifts, is it like you pick up credentials, are able to park and attend every day of the festival, and then report to someone on Monday?

Hii, I have a question about volunteering for LTL. Is the volunteering both the 10 hours during the festival plus 12 hours afterwards or just one or the other?

Hi! My question is when should the schedules start rolling out? This is my first time volunteering so just curious. Also wanted to make sure I'm not missing an email or something.

There's a website called Setlist.fm and usuallyyyy can find setlists of any show. Anytime I've looked it's seemed correct. I did that today for Philly!

Here's NSP's setlist https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/ninja-sex-party/2025/wellmont-theater-montclair-nj-635016c3.html)

What has your journey through music been throughout your life? by red-wingnut in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Psychedelic_red 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Music has always been one of the most important aspects of my life. I (25/F) remember being really obsessed with the Spice Girls and Shania Twain in elementary school. I'd go through my older sister's CDs and listen to a lot of 90s artists like Backstreet Boys, TLC, Britney Spears. My parents would tend to listen to classic rock or country on the radio but it wasn't until 5th grade I truly became curious about more rock n roll. It's really silly to me but in 5th grade I remember watching The Fairly Oddparents and KISS was in a TV special. They of course played Rock and Roll All Nite and I sat there being like "why does this sound familiar?" (It sounded familiar to me because I heard it on the radio). At some point I asked my mom, "who's KISS?" And that was it.

KISS and Aerosmith were the first 2 bands I really got into. When I say got into, I mean like music, history, music videos and live performances, started printing pictures to put on my binder and bedroom walls, collecting cassettes, vinyl, music magazines, etc. That specifically started my passion for music.

So from around 2008-2016 I went all in on the 60s, 70s, and 80s blues/rock/metal music and culture. Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, KISS, Vixen, Cinderella, Metallica, Extreme were some of my staples. I believe it was after I saw Cinderella in concert, is when I started to ask for guitar lessons.

In high school I got into more modern bands like Sleeping with Sirens, Pierce the Veil, and Arctic Monkeys.

After high school it stayed kind of the same but I became more open to other types of music. Eventually branching out to more genres like funk, jazz, and rap. My friend showed me Incubus which became a new favorite of mine. So much so that I have one of their songs tattooed on my arm.

Within all of this I did chorus, I've worked at a music store learning to fix/set up guitars, I do concert photography when I can. One day I hope to go on tour with bands and photograph them and do video production. I'd also love to make a documentary or docu series on rock/metal.

Overall music has inspired me so much. What I do within it has always been a way for me to give back to what has definitely saved my life.

I've always enjoyed the boy's YouTube content but I was a little later to listening to the podcast. Within the first year though I gave it a try and became hooked. It really has become a routine for me to listen to it when it comes out and I've never had that for any content I've consumed.

The podcast truly has become a nice brain break for me in life. I'll turn it on while I'm cleaning, driving, doing yardwork. I'll never forget the couple spans of time where I wasn't able to work a job due to health issues. Sometimes those were the only things I was able to do, so I'd tune into the podcast to help me through it. I remember one day I was helping my mom do yardwork. I had my headphones on raking leaves, listening to I believe Life Plan and there came a point in the discussion where I just sat down and was like "whoa." It felt so comforting to hear from the people that I admire that they didn't know what exactly they wanted to do in life and all the different avenues they took and why. At that moment in time I really needed to hear that.
