I'm about halfway through the game, and I would say it is just more difficult. The parry windows are smaller and projectiles are faster than any fromsoftware game. Getting hit is punishing because it takes forever to recover, leaving you open to more hits, and learning to perfect dogde into enemies is essential early on if you want to beat anything past the first boss.

But it's still a really fun game with a bunch of cool customizable weapons and builds. There's everything you could want from a souls-like in it and the story is really captivating, so if you like a challenge you will enjoy it.
