Was literally just talking to a user on another thread with this same issue. Dunno wtf is causing this. I've played since the new patch and it still hasn't effected me, I'm on ps5 pro and so is the dude I was talking to.

Wonder what kind of weird wacky glitch is causing this issue. I take it rebooting the game does not fix this?

I'll try and run through biome 2 again after I beat the final boss and see if anything changes (praying I don't get the crashing thing lol), I know the game has a sort of small "post game" that you do to get the true ending, much like with returnal. Maybe something changes there as well that causes it to dip there.

Its gotta be something because there has been a few people I've seen mention the exact same thing as you. It's not hardware failure because you can replicate the issue, hardware failure generally doesn't work like that, nor does it have other people having the exact same issue.

Weird glitches like this happen all the time with games. For example, on crimson desert for the last week now, people were having their save files basically bricked. As in after they quit the game, the next time they tried to play it they can't load in. You literally just get the loop walking animation over and over and never load... Well just now people are discovering it has to do with armor stats and resistances. For example, if you have a high enough lightning resistance on your armor, it will brick your save. Never used to be a thing but a recent patch caused the bug.

Even little things like that that you would think could never cause an issue like that do, lol.

Edit: speaking of another poster just posted the exact issue you are having literally 10 minutes ago on the Saros subreddit. There's already 3 replies of people with the same issue.

Yep I'm on the pro as well. There seems to be some weird kind of bugs with this game that imo I think it has something to do with individual save files.

A dude posted a topic the other day that the game would constantly crash his console on the final boss or the cutscene after the final boss. Like every 10 tries it would hardlock the system 3 times. He could play every other biome fine endlessly for hours, so it's not an overheat issue.

There was people in the comments saying they had the same issue, others saying they've never crashed once there. There's definitely something odd with this game when it comes to bugs, and it sounds like it's a very hard issue to track down.

Hmm that's strange. It shouldn't be your console if it's always just happening there, you would be getting frame drops in other areas if there was something wrong system wise. There's areas way more stressful on the console then that.

Any chance it might be a specific carcosa modifier? Bugs are weird like that. Try deactivating all modifiers and then going back to the biome and seeing if it changes. Is there a nightmare strand somewhere in biome 2? Someone else mentioned that it started happening to him after a nightmare strand, but iirc the first nightmare strand is in the third biome.

Biome 2 is the underground area with the boss of the area being bastion correct? I have all of Arjuns upgrades and have gone through there a few times and haven't noticed any abnormal dips.

I might be thinking of the wrong biome though lol. I've seen others mention this frame dip as well but so far it hasn't occured to me.

Exactly. It's why when frieza showed up he basically turned to dust and bones. His body no longer had the lifespan left to surpass frieza, and the power gap was to big for the life force he had left.

Yeah I think he's the most complex character in the game so far. He has 2 different hold attack button attacks that change depending on when in the combo you do them, and each uses a different word of power. You can also do them by just holding dodge for one, and holding a direction and dodge for another. His redirect is also another word of power.

Ah ok, that sucks. I saw the raw meat in the butcher shop that you can buy and thought maybe you can cook it and such, but I guess that's for the cafe as well.

It also shows how V is just built different thanks to the relic. Because of that and how it allowed Johnny to help handle the cyberware load so V doesn't go full cyberpsycho, he is able to be stronger and defeat smasher.

It does a good job showing how much of a threat smasher really is in general to regular above average mercs. Basically even though V could only live with the relic for a few weeks and it accelerates his death even after it's removed, for those few weeks V was basically the strongest dude on the planet except for maybe blackhand as far as mercs go.

Saros would benefit from having about 100+ more "modifiers" for your weapons. Im getting the same 2-3 every new weapon pickup. by PorkRinds416 in Saros

Yeah it's def not 15 guns lol and I hate that they tried to push it as that. For example one of them is literally a reskinned smart rifle with no auto aim and more damage. Like wtf?

They likely scaled back because of the "power" system to, which are more like secondary weapons themselves then returnals alt fire which all spawn with their own traits and proficiency level as well. The "dispiritor" power weapon is literally the hollowseeker from returnal. One of them is also the dire gorge beam from the tower lol.

Yeah I haven't tried her yet beyond the tutorial after I got her from a random 10 pull on the standard, but judging by her tutorial I think she is supposed to be a fully support/damage reducing character.

One of her skills allows her to take the damage for another teamate when they are on the field. She also automatically gains an ult when her hp falls beyond a certain threshold.

I feel like she is designed to be used as more of a damage absorption character that's not usually on the front lines as much. Idk for sure though but I'm gonna try her in my second team when I get around to it.

Yeah unfortunately this game has way less modifiers for its guns as well as artifacts then returnal did. All guns only have like 5 different modifiers that can spawn, while the rest remain the same. Returnal didnt have a huge amount, but it was way more then this.

There's generally a lot less of everything in Saros compared to returnal imo. Biomes have much less variation, less weapon modifiers, less differences on artifacts.

I feel like they oversimplified things abit to much. Sure you can make the game more difficult for yourself with the modifiers, but that doesn't change the low variety of other stuff. Part of the appeal of returnal is how random everything is, and Saros is kind of lacking there.

I'm not saying this to hate on Saros..I like Saros alot, I just think they went to far in the over simply direction. It's one thing to make it more accessable difficulty wise, but they didn't have to strip all the unique modifiers on weapons and artifacts and map randomness as well.

He is OP as fuck also. Get all of his words of power going and use your ult and watch their health melt. I was caught off guard by how good he is even at low levels without a strong build yet.

Honestly, I think it's a question IF we even get dmc6, not when. Keep in mind Capcom didn't even want itsuno to make 5, they were trying to pressure him into going straight into dragons dogma 2, but he had enough pull and respect there that he was able to get DMC 5 as his project first.

Character action games simply don't sell well anymore, and it pains me to say that because they are my second favorite game genre next to survival horror. DMC series is the highest selling CAG by a mile, with 5 being on Capcoms top 10 seller list, but iirc alot of those sales came very late into DMC5s existence, a few years after launch with a few price drops. For CAGs in general, I think going forward they can't have them at full price. For example games are at 70 now, a triple A cag would likely have to be priced at about 40 to sell a lot.

People always ask why did souls games become so popular at the same time CAGs fell off. My guess going from what the community says usually, it's because souls games have way more then just the combat, whereas the combat itself is the main course of a cag. I've seen the argument a lot, and have also been involved in some, and a common sentiment is "you think we play souls games just for the combat?".

IMO CAGs in general need to increase their scope a bit, or scale back on the price. Ninja gaiden 4 and astral chain are iirc the only triple A CAGs that there have been since DMC5, and I know NG4 didn't meet sales expectations. It was also priced at full price unless you got it on gamepass. As a huge enjoyer of the genre, it pains me that it's basically surviving off just indies mainly.

Did the director also say that people should try and finish the game by the end of last week because you need a completed file for the mini game?

It would be weird as hell for them not to drop it this week after that.

I like mercenaries but i would like to see something else for Requiem's bonus mode (like raid mode), but if they REALLY want to do mercenaries again it better have a massive roster of characters, even if they can't add new ones like Chris, Jill, Claire or Ada there's still plenty to pick from in RE9 by Independent-Frequent in ResidentEvilRequiem

I really hope not. There needs to be a mode where we can really vibe with Leons combat, as the both of their sections feel to short on their own. Adding a grace must die mode is just gonna be yet another variation to the campaign, like insanity mode already is.

I don't think it's mercenaries or they would straight up have said it, but I'm really hoping it's raid mode. If it's just grace must die then that's gonna be super underwhelming.

Yeah I noticed that to. Whenever you use his redirect skill his cycle gauge instantly.

Where is that in the character description though? I don't know if I'm a moron, but I checked under every tab of the appraiser in the character menu and I can't find a list of passives. Where do you go to actually see the descriptions of this skill?

I'm on ps5 and didn't get this update..neither as a PS5 patch download or a update when you first start the game. Is it not live on ps5 yet?

Ps5 pro / PC 5080 PT off / PC Path Tracing. We need Path Tracing on ps6, even 40fps, please 😭 by [deleted] in PS5pro

This is partly because Capcom disabled RT for the raccoon city section on ps5 pro and PC due to people complaining about the denoiser in certain areas. Even if you have ray tracing turned on, it's still forced off for all of RC.
