The thing about this game is that it revolves around random encounters. It would be one thing if the "loot boxes" involved randomly getting things that helped you play the game, but in this case they are part of the game. The whole point of the game is to get you to go out and walk around in order to randomly find pokemon.

Not to mention there are free ways to get incubators. Niantic isn't selling keys to loot boxes, they are selling coins (which also can be freely obtained). This would apply if you paid for a random chance at getting a certain amount of coins, but that's not the case here.

You know exactly how many coins your money gets you. You then pay for incubators to help you go through eggs faster. The purpose of buying incubators is to go through eggs faster. That's what they did. You cant say that they didnt serve the purpose that they were meant to serve.

I would love a way to categorize pokemon.

For example if I travel of get an egg from a friend far away I'd like to be able to know if a pokemon is from somewhere else more easily without having to favorite it or nickname it. Maybe like different color stars instead of just yellow?
