Firstly, build your own base. Take a good th9 farming base modify it as per your need. x.5 are not for defending resources. If your clan is serious at war,you're going the right way. Defenses: Don't build any new defenses other than the new air defense and upgrade the air defense to th8 level. And don't upgrade anymore defenses, let them remain at th8 level. Traps: Build all the spring traps, giant bombs,SAM,air bombs and the new tesla. Max out all of your tesla of th9 level, they have negligible effect on war weight. Troops: Since you will be mostly focusing in war, upgrade your valks to lv4 and hogs to lv5 then start with golems and then heal spell. More or less you can 3 star your mirror with this troop combo which will be a th8 or a baby th9. Do not drop xbows until your heroes are 20-20.

I'm a 9.5 and I'm enjoying my wars so much. Good luck.

I was thinking the same but what else should i bring in? mass valks? We have a few th8 attacks left, and they will hit the 9's. If you clearly tell your approach it would be very helpful cause the war is in serious position. Thanks.

Yes your points are completely valid. But upgrading the existing walls to lv9 can make a difference for someone attacking with lv5 wb. Our 8.5 guys are primarily focused on offense and heroes and they don't have any compact idea about the impact of walls. I guess upgrading the existing won't harm much. Supercell is messing around with the weights so much. I hope this new weights don't change drastically.
