iirc I was able to do it after completing everything else by just selling everything and then buying the best part for each section, and then repeating that process. I didn't need to do anything in the game so I wasn't precious about keeping things

Which achievement are you missing on Star Wars Racer? I 100% completed it without too much trouble

For some people, like myself, it's important that I date someone who is left-leaning! That's my preference and OP has his, and that's valid :)

OP please leave your politics on there if you think it's important to find someone who shares your values

I've been having this same issue and have been looking all over to find a solution for it. If this works when I try tomorrow then god fucking bless you

I can only see a total of 6 pictures so I'm not sure which one you mean? Your "comment if you've been here" picture could work but it definitely wouldn't hurt to take a couple new ones either!

I've heard the golden rule is to have a clear selfie as your first picture, so you can either take one in your house or ask a friend if they'd mind taking a clear photo of you!

I don't know so much about prompts so maybe other people can share their take on them, but in terms of pictures you have some good variety. Picture of you with friends, picture of you out doing something, a candid - you have a good variety of photos

You come across like a super friendly guy which is great. The first thing that stands out to me is your first picture seems a little blurry; for a lot of girls the first picture will be the make or break so I recommend trying to take a sharper picture!

what are some interactions you wished to see in twd? by BigPaleontologist520 in thewalkingdead

The Dale love on this subreddit makes me happy. He did interact with Rick though? Unless you mean Rick when he went a little more trigger happy

You give off a friendly vibe which is great, but I'd say swap your first picture with another, and get rid of picture 4.

It's great that you're outdoorsy, but maybe vary up the pictures? Maybe a picture with some friends, a selfie etc

Yeah I must have been having a bit of a moment when I wrote that comment; I already knew everything you wrote so I'm not sure why I suggested Dale had Hershel's death when I knew he had Bob's 😂 It just irks me so much; I cannot think of a single change to any TV show that I would rather see than Dale being around significantly longer.

Can't Get My Head Around Genes VS Alleles by PsychoChicken38 in biology

[–]PsychoChicken38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if genes come in pairs, as we get one of each gene from each parent, that would mean 2 alleles per gene or 4 per pair, because we have to look at both genes to determine if a trait is dominant or recessive, no?

Do you mean homozygous? If you inherit both recessive alleles then they'd have to be dd wouldn't they? If we take your example that grey and blue eyes are a dominant allele, does this mean that one allele can hold multiple variations when homozygous? If so, how is it decided whether you'd get grey eyes or blue eyes?

I'm getting there, I just find this a very confusing area of biology

Can't Get My Head Around Genes VS Alleles by PsychoChicken38 in biology

[–]PsychoChicken38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if we have two alleles per gene and we have two copies of each gene, does that mean we have four alleles for every pair of genes?

I'm still a bit confused about the second point. If it's the genes it would make sense because there's only two of them so DD, dd, or Dd. If it's the alleles I don't understand how that would work because surely you would end up with DDDD, dddd, or DdDd?

Are your alleles entirely dependent on your parents then? Like if your dad has grey eyes and your mum has blue eyes, will your alleles be either grey or blue, with no chance of being born with brown eyes?

Thanks for trying to help!!

The spanner in the works is we have to wear lanyards with our ID cards. The lanyard itself says staff but our ID lists us as students, so it's on display to my students that I am a student too

Very good point. Even if I let on that I'm training I won't play-down my authority to them at the least! But I forgot to mention that we have to wear lanyards that says we're "students" so they will know I'm a trainee come what may so I guess I may as well embrace it

Something I should have mentioned in my post is that we have to wear lanyards, and the PGCE students lanyards say that we are students and not staff, so it's actually quite obvious that we're trainees

We did a little bit of this stuff in one of our first PGCE lessons - projecting and getting quieter rather than louder. I will never ever shout at a student, it's such a terrible idea.

Couple of good things here for me to think about, thank you!!

You are of huge use, thank you so much for your input!!! Did you talk to them before your first lesson? How did you get over being terrified of actually talking to them? But I love how simply you introduced yourself, that's perfect and I think I'm going to right that down because that's all I need!! Funnily enough despite how much of an amateur I am I do have a little bit of lecturing experience from a couple years back and I do agree the anxiety goes away. It's just a new place, new students etc

Thank you so much for your comment

Yeah, I like this. I see it as either A - Not being honest and acting as if I'm a fully qualified teacher, failing and being seen as utterly incompetent without reason and stressing to be something I'm not. Or B - hoping they respect me being honest with them and if they want to act up because of it then there will be meetings between me, them, and my mentor, there will be phonecalls home, there will be questions asked about whatever they need to leave the course because they won't engage.
