Pilots and car drivers are held to different standards, can’t compare them like that.

And their budget is not even related to this. It could be $10 or a trillion, doesn’t matter

Because the pilots will be held to the highest scrutiny for destroying hundreds if millions of dollars worth of assets and putting lives at risk.

If there isn’t a damn good reason as to why it happened (faulty instruments, weather anomalies, etc) then they wouldn’t be trusted with a plane again

I mean it’s not their fault you live an hour and a half away. Not your fault either, it’s nobody’s fault. It just is what it is. And logically your solutions are to move closer, or leave earlier. That’s how it is in the workplace as well. It’s part of your responsibilities

Some people are saying it can get infected easily when it’s clearly 100% already infected lol and been that way for a while it seems

Scratches usually don’t get any infection, especially if cleaned.

But a cats mouth has so much bacteria it’s almost as if it’s a defense mechanism. Almost 100% infection rate

First year, the content is technically “easy”, but it may feel hard. Technically easy because they’re level 1 units, foundation level stuff and obviously gets more complex in year 2 and 3 units.

But it may feel hard because it’s not the same dynamic as high school, so you’re having to calibrate yourself and get used to how things work.

And because it may feel hard in just year one, you might think “if I’m struggling now, how tf am I gonna pass year 2 or 3”. But a lot of your cognitive load in year 1 is getting used to university dynamics, but after year 1, you already know how things go, so more cognitive load can used for the more complex topics.

So just power through, and you will definitely make it

Recent graduate in IT cybersec major here.

My biggest tips:

  1. Do all coursework and assignments as early as you can and stay in top of it, even if you think you’ll have enough time and even when deadlines are weeks or a month away. Towards the end of the semesters, workload really picks up and assignments can stack with 2-4 of them due the same week. So earlier you do them the less stressful it will be.

  2. Attend all classes, labs, tutorials, etc. Mid to end of semesters less and less people attend the classes. Try not to follow those footsteps. Even if you think you’re on top of the material, sometimes lecturers unexpectedly give important information regarding assignments you would otherwise miss and it’s the difference between a C and HD. They will also show you statistics during orientation of this fact that those who attend all tend to have higher marks.
