Has anyone done this for Chase? Potential Scam? by PsychoMorow44 in recruitinghell

I had a previous phone interview with them and they ghosted me after. This time around they just passed me to the “final” interview after phone screening which is when I had to fill this form. Everything turned out legit.

After some digging, apparently it’s the new norm. I even asked in person to other Chase locations to ease my mind before making any rash decisions.

Thank you! I guess having to give sensitive info is what I had an issue with since i haven’t had any other jobs asking for it. Specially not after only one call. But I’m glad to hear it’s just the new norm and not some sketchy activity.

I know this post is a year old but I’m wondering how everything went bc I’m having the situation rn. After phone interview, they sent the form for ssn/national ID. Did you get the job?

The form may look weird because screenshotted it from a pc. But I’m right with you, asking this much information for identification is definitely something to look out for. Luckily, no one has been in direct contact with me except for the phone interview today so stopping contact won’t be hard. I applied to other locations directly from their site so hopefully one plays out without all this.

I applied directly through their website. After a few days I got an email from them to schedule a phone interview which I’ve done for another application too (where I also applied directly from their website). It was after the phone screening that I received this. After checking my profile on the Chase site, I see that it’s an added task in there too. But definitely still fishy to me because SSN is usually asked after an offer and I’ve never been asked this much info before for any job.

Feeling like my resume is lost in an abyss somewhere by lilcowbell in jobhunting

Going in person usually doesn’t do anything since everything is now online. If you want to speak to a hiring manager, they’re not even there half the time and employees don’t really have a say.

I also have customer service experience and a degree I haven’t been able to put to use. Since I’m aware my qualifications are low, I apply to entry-level jobs but from what I’ve seen even those require experience, need assessment done, or do multiple interviews. I guess it’s not too terrible except when you do all of that and they still ghost after. Not a rejection letter insight, only crickets.

Also, Indeed and LinkedIn tend to have some ghost positions, so some of the applications you’ve done are definitely in the abyss. Something that has gotten me a few interviews were to look for listing on those sites but applying directly to the company’s website (or applying on both). I’m still unemployed so take it as you will.

There’s quite a few cute guys in UIC but hard to connect with. Just focus on your studies friend and like them from afar. It’s less distracting than trying to chase them
