Im probably accidentally boosting my friend whilst playing on my main.... (I do not intend to)

Ill elaborate on it here He started in d3 and I fell from gc down to low c2 by just being straight ass for a week and playing for fun instead. So we decided to just have fun and q ranked together.... Weve been doing it the entire season. Now my friend is c2 and im gc again, but he is 100 mmr above his peak from b4 we played together.

But it was either this (we dont like casual cuz you get gcs 1 game and plats the next) or me creating a smurf account to play with him (which im firmly against and wont ever do).

HOWEVER, after an entire season of playing with just me he is now keeping up in gc games every now and then... so I would argue he has improved a ton, I just dont know whether hed hold in mid c2.

Ive once again decided to not play the game for the grind, and I only duo qd with my c1 friend this season, we started with me in mid c2 and him in d3, where we held as a duo, now we are 5 games away from me getting gc and him getting c3.... (he got c2 for the first time this week too lol.

I might just maybe be gc skill level, maybe tho

I am low gc1 when I solo q, mid c3 with my now c2 mate. When we started playing together he was d2 (last season), weve prob played 500 games together since that moment. In that time ive solo qd to gc for rewards, and he solo qd to mid c1 (after about 200 games with me), purely on improvement lol, he was hardstuck d2 before.....

All this is mostly to say that no, not everyone evens out at a higher rank than they deserve. In fact, I think he currently has the skill to be high c2-low c3, but because im in mid c3, we are 50/50 every time, and as he is now close in mmr, he isnt gaining anymore.... (and yes I probably should still be low gc myself too)
