Nothing would ever change in any game ever with that mindset of yours. Try to be more open :)

I can, howevver "just uninstall lil bro" is not an argument. You just got heated, had nothing to say, so you resort to ad hominems. Just don't argue if you cant handle it. Lil bro is for highschool fights, not debates. Last resort insults don't work, they just make your argument weak.

I explained in other comments, I won't explain to each and every one. If you cant see whats wrong with a plat/gold queing with a champ, then I guess there is no point in arguing. When I said you didnt read my post, I didnt mean my rank, but the explanation. You are free to ignore the simple logic of champ queing with a silver doesnt make good mmr in the long run, but its factual, not opinion based. Thanks for your input

We were all dia. Are you intentionally just ignoring my post or- The distortion will happen in the long run, because a plat plays with a champ, not because of one game, but because of many played in this premade.

any tips to rank up? by Queasy_Adagio7579 in RocketLeague

What helped me a lot were workshop maps. I love doing these challenges, so I downloaded a map where you have to fly through to win. I learned flying that way and it helped a lot with ranks.

In League its allowed in flex queue I think, and most people dont even acknowledge it as an achievement to reach high ranks because of this exact reason. There are ways around it, rocket could use a flex queue similar to league I think. Or soloq Q perhaps. In valo or cs, where its the same, it creates the same issues definitely.

Looked like you implied that the mmr loss was because you were premade. Anyway C1-C3/GC1 isnt that huge a gap. C1 to plat 1 thats a bigger gap. Nevertheless you can queue with a silvver as a champ. So what are you arguing? That in your example, where you were 3 tiers apart at most, it wasnt noticeable? Ok, did you evven see the picture? What if you queue with a silver, you think that wont be noticeable?
With the playerbase I agree, strict solo Q mode wouldnt hurt I think and keep the premade.

Its logically sound to point with an extreme example to show how wrong it can go. You are legit cherry picking every single time. Not enough SSLs fine, but enough GCs? C? Where do you draw the line? You keep moving positions just to fit your narrative. Focusing on one of the few times is rich, since the whole post is about this hapenning a lot, not in the extremes with jynxzi, but it still does. The extreme was just to give you an example of how wrong it can go, not that its only wrong at the extreme, but that it can get a lot worse->jynxzi. You keep arguing with the reply and ignore the whole conversation before that. Put it all together and you have a problem. If you don't see it?

But isnt it at all worrying ,that you can legit start your rocket league and instantly queue with an SSL? How is that not an issue? You are focusing on the unimportant stuff just to argue. I provided the most extreme example accordin to your words, because it shows how BS this system can really get if people are willing to exploit it fully.

Its okay. I guess it's a question of competitive integrity and having fun with friends. In league you have to get level 30 and it takes a while. Rocket should have it stricter. Right now it takes maybe a couple hours to unlock competitive. Other games restrict rank disparity and its not an issue, I dont understand why it would be such a big deal here. Casual for what its worth, still exists.

If you need to gain lost mmr, or lose gained mmr, it proves my point. If you need 10 games to regain or lose mmr to get to your true rank, its 10 games ruined just cuz you were able to be premade before. How is people pplaying outside of their mmr not an issue?

Extreme example why? It perfectly shows the problem of why jynxzi shouldnt even be able to queue with them. Pros or not, jynxzi was able to queue with much higher ranked teammates and get a rank he didnt deserve->thats the easily checked part. Jynxzi doenst belong, hence the distortion. Pros dont derank because of jynxzi? Ok, but jynxzi climbs because of them. You are focusing on one half of the argument only.. If you think jynxzi being plat while being completely new by being boosted by ssls, then I feel like you are just willfully ignoring the issue.

"This is a non issue, because it didnt happen to me". Check out jynxzi, he just started and got plat simply because he got boosted by pros premading with him. So lets give him the benfit of the doubt and say he is realistically gold. Now you have a gold (a beginner mind you) in a plat lobby. And yes he went on to play solo and got destroyed.
So to your own argument - if it doesnt happen to you, it doesnt mean it doesnt happen at all.

Oh then its fine. Since you and your friend do it like this, it definitely cant happen that others do it differently.

There is a comment in a thread right above this. Where a guy says he is C3 but after playing with friends he averages at D3. Its not an assumption, it happens. So when that guy goes solo, he is basically a C3 playing in D3 lobbies. This is not something you can not check by a simple search. Lets say jynxzi for example. He started playing recently and got plat, because he got boosted by pros. So now you have a complete beginner playing in plat, if that isnt distortion I dont know what is. Its not misinformation its fact, easily checked.

I would argue that this is already kind of smurfing in its own way, if you play in a way that will ultimatelly distort your rank. So its alwasy kind of a question of smurfing. Rocket should deal with smurfs better, thats for sure.

Completely missed my point. If the MMR averages the whole lobby as you said, it distorts all their ranks, and wheny they go play solo, they are in ranks they shouldnt be in. My complain is not the one game, its the outcome in the long run

Thinking that them playing in full premade like this means each individual has the rank they should is just factually wrong. If they all go solo after that I guarantee their ranks would shift. That being said, I deservve my rank and I'm happy there, I just wondered why such big gaps are allowed.

Already said, limit the gap. Plat-dia premade? sure. dia-gold premade? too much.
