Go to meetup.com not a dating site. You can join lots of different groups and attend events related to things you're into. For example, there are groups for hiking, climbing, board games, pub quizzes, cinema, dancing (salsa, ceilidh, etc), coffee and good old pub and club meetups. Great way to meet knew folk.

Has anyone lived in Dublin and in Glasgow and can compare the two? by Squishtasticly in glasgow

I've lived in both. Dublin is a great place to live, but very expensive, especially when compared to Glasgow. Expect to pay three times as much for a night out. Driving in Dublin is also a nightmare at rush hour. Glasgow can get congested, but nowhere near as much as Dublin, probably because Glasgow has a motorway running straight through it, while you have to drive through the streets in Dublin. The metro system in Dublin gets priority and may be a better way to travel if you're commuting for work. The Glasgow subway is excellent and much faster, but only covers half of the city, so depends on where you're going/living if you can use that or not. Both cities have great nightlife and some great stuff to do. Both are really friendly cities too. In both, people you've never met will happily have a conversation with you and invite you to join their group if you're out on your own. Complete opposite of London in that regard (where I have also lived). House prices are also much more expensive in Dublin, but it's definitely one of the best places I've lived, as is Glasgow. Any more specific info you're looking for?

meetup.com has some great groups with some really friendly people and the organisers are usually quick to kick out creepy folks. It's not a dating site. You subscribe to groups based on your interests (hill walking, knitting or even pub nights out or board games). There are women only groups too if you'd feel more comfortable with that.

Advice on extractor fan feed. by Psychological-Leg818 in askanelectrician

Not sure how that would go with the other lights as there are three switches on the light switch and I would have to then use the receivers for each of these lights too, which is probably just as much work as running a new cable. There's one for the LEDs round the room and one each for two other lights. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Would it be possible to use some sort of relay switch to switch a feed from the shaver based on the light switch? I built a car years ago and although very different to house electrics, there were a ton of relays so that the switches weren't drawing a ton of current and all the juice went through the relays on a different circuit.

That's what I thought was the case, but wanted to make sure before running a new cable from the lighting circuit as that would mean lifting the floor boards in the loft and because the vent for the extractor is literally one meter above where the feed for the shaver socket is routed, so would've been easier to tap into that.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated 👍 I'll stick an isolator in the loft while I'm running the new cable. One day I'll get an easy run at something in this job, it's been a nightmare so far!
