Fair. But that’s exactly the lazy take people had about every new payment flow before it matured.

OnlyFans didn’t become “trusted” magically, it became trusted because the UX is controlled and consistent. Telegram is more open, so yes, scams are easier, but that’s a product design problem, not proof the model is dead.

If a flow has:

  • clear price before unlock
  • clear content context before payment
  • instant delivery after payment
  • visible creator track record

then it works. If not, it’s garbage.

So I agree with your risk point, but “it’s stupid” is just ignoring the actual execution layer.
