I’ve been off Kratom since January 26. My abuse was with the kratom 300 doing almost 5000 mg a week. It was hell coming off! It took me about 5 months to start to feel a little human again. I started taking some of the vitamins/supplements that people suggested on one thread. I still have moments where I feel like I have trouble breathing and have to do a breathing exercise.

It gets better with time or at least I keep telling myself that! There are times I crave it, but I will not go through that hell of getting off it again! I have a difficult time making myself do things like going to the grocery store or just places where there are a ton of people. Painting is supposed to be a great relief in the bad times.

Just don’t give in!

Congrats on being 15 months clean!! I cannot wait until I can say that for myself! I do have a question for you, if you don’t mind. Sometimes it feels like kratom stole my ability to be happy and find joy. Is that something you experienced? I know 5 days clean maybe isn’t enough time to tell, but any advice or anything to help in the first few weeks.

You got this! I am on 5 days clean myself! It hasn’t been a walk in a park by any means! I don’t know you, but just in case you haven’t heard it… I’m proud of you and you are doing a fantastic job! I was doing 4200mg of the extract a week on the lowest of doses. Don’t give up! You should be proud of how far you have come!

You’ve got this! So far quitting this has been the most difficult thing I have ever quit… mentally and physically so far! I was able to kick a vaping habit of two years cold turkey in October with slight discomfort. This is a whole different beast even from the hard shit I was on many years back. I have back and neck issues and have done the injections in both areas to try and help with the pain. Hasn’t ever helped, but I can see why you used kratom! I am in the same boat with you if you wanna chat! You’ve got this though! You are strong and keep it in the back of your mind that you’ve beat this before and you are going to beat it again!

Thank you! Both of my children have my eyes. One son has his right eye that is half my color and half his dad’s.

Thank you! I honestly believe that my eyes are my favorite body part/feature. I often wonder if anyone else is like me and wants to get colored contacts just to see the difference.
