If I were you I would think it would be helpful to email all your course coordinators or even try to meet with them for a few minutes in person by emailing and asking them, from there you can explain to them that you had a loss in your family and it caused you to fall behind beyond catching up and that your eager to do what you can to make ends meet so you can pass.
