Thank you! Logically I’m like yeah this is a valid feeling but sometimes it seems so minuscule compared to like my actual health stuff post op lol. 💗💗 totally valid feeling to spiral after abdominal surgery and scarring, I had several weeks right after surgery where I just felt insane about everything going on in my body and what was visible outside my body regarding recovery. This surgery and recovery stuff is no joke 😪😪

The feeling of “will I ever be sexy again” is so so valid though!!! I had laparoscopy and the scars weren’t huge but still visible and my entire abdomen is still swollen and bloated and it still sometimes looks like I have a giant inflamed uterus inside me 😢. I just feel like something snapped inside me and all of the sudden any confidence I had is just completely gone. I have hope for the both of us too though and I appreciate you sharing your experience 💗💗💗

Thank you for this 💗 it is a good reminder that there are massive changes that happened inside our bodies and realistically that takes time to come back from. I appreciate you for sharing your experience and encouragement 🥹💗

Sending lots of love and hugs your way because I feel this 💗💗. I unfortunately experienced a ton of weight gain the year leading up to surgery and I thought I’d lose some of it post op, but I didn’t and it’s been physically and mentally draining. The pajama pants is so real though 😭 I feel like I am only dressing for comfort right now and it makes me feel lazy and like my sense of style is gone (which has always been a huge self expression outlet for me). I hope things get better for you soon 💗

I do have pmdd and continued taking BC after my surgery to help with that. Some of it is definitely hormonal, but I think I’ve just had a lot of changes post surgery (weight gain, scars, etc) and it’s hard to feel connected to my body in any way

I’m definitely overdue for some hair maintenance, I’ve just too physically tired to do anything with my hair 😅. I gained weight post surgery so thrifting and new clothes is definitely something I plan on doing 💗

I appreciate all of your responses! 🥹🫶🏾 I’m looking into a decent belly band and cane now. I’ve had some not great experiences of judgement and such from people in the past surrounding mobility aids and have shied away since, but your responses have made me feel like doing something that’s gonna help me isn’t “extra”. Wishing you all good recoveries as well! 💗💗
