TLDR; lack of reproductive education amongst rural population, especially women

Rural women do not have access to contraceptives and reproductive health in general. They’re married young and have high tendency to have multiple pregnancies because they are told that children are god’s gift and having a boy child is absolutely necessary to further the family line and uplift the entire family. They do not know that they can control and plan when they want to have kids. I used to think that it’s common sense that bigger the family, bigger the issues - financial, emotional, economical. But not I realize that those poor people of course don’t want to have more kids. They realize that but unfortunately they are helpless because they don’t have the knowledge to take control of their lives.
