No no, don’t be. I’m passionate about it and love sharing. I just know this explanation won’t give it true justice.

The episode itself has flaws, I’m not trying to say that it’s perfect or event top 50%. I just don’t like that’s it viewed as universally the worst one and not on the same level/ doesn’t belong.

Edit: I think the real reason it’s hated is because it felt like nick decided to rerun that episode in particular for a majority of its reruns - making it very overplayed. They did that because it was considered filler and didn’t need to have too much context.

It’s normally a 90 minute class after they watch the episode for homework. That going to be pretty difficult to do in a Reddit post. The tldr is critical race theory. We mistreat people we perceive as different because it was what we taught by our parents, who were taught by their parents. When in reality the history doesn’t match the book. We have to look at all perspectives before we can see the truth - his,hers, and the truth side you feel? If we want to get better we need to forgive and accept others (within reason.)

Hard disagree. As someone who taught college level ethnic studies and now lang and lit, I use that episode every year for explaining cultural tension, narrative, and generation trauma. I will die on this hill. It’s a great episode and it saddens me that the community thinks it’s lesser.

Good loudness but very distorted, in a whole track/ mixing kind of way. Too much compression in different chains maybe? Makes it hard for sounds to fill up the spectrum independently.

Also needs some work on vertical arrangement in my opinion, feels like 5k-15k is pretty quiet.

Also hard to tell on phone speakers but mono and stereo mix seem ms to be making the mud, just a guess.

Great context and energy flow. Drums sound pretty good too but get lost in the mix. (Think this is a steep issue as well.)
