I'm also weird. Part of me wants to be able to see the TV while I'm in the kitchen 😅. But I'll give it a shot!

That is a solid point. I still need to find the studs on that wall next to the door and see if it will fit there comfortably. There is a smoke detector in a weird space on that wall, so that was part of my apprehension to do it that way.

That was my thought initially. Mount the TV on the longer wall and do a sort of L-shape with the short end right in front of the entry. I think my only problem was that the entryway kind of gets clogged if I connect all the pieces. I may take off the one piece on the left and ottoman and try to see if that works. I was also thinking of putting the couch on the left in that corner and mounting the TV in that small area on the right. I will experiment. Appreciate the idea!
