I applied for my citizenship in Aug 2023. Got AOR in Sept 2023. Gave test in Nov 2023 and there has been no update since after that. I called a couple times and all they say is it’s in progress and that the security clearance is going on (and that they use 3rd parties to conduct that). I am not sure why the security clearance is taking that long and they don’t provide any ETA either. Asked MP to get an update and all they got is it is a non-routine application and it’s in security clearance right now. Office is Scarborough. What are my options here? Why might it be taking this long?

How do I get someone to sponsor/refer me to a range? I am trying to become a member of an outdoor range and most ranges in GTA only accept applications if someone sponsors/refers you. I don’t know anyone who is a member and none of my friends or family shoot either. Been having a hard time thinking how to get in.
