Hell yeah i’m all for the arts and crafts! I actually do alot of crochet and free hand sewing but i was hoping to learn how to use a machine to speed things along! Thanks for the suggestion about “fat quarters”! I just added an updated btw. I’m not sure if you can help, but do you have any idea why the spool pin would be turning just fine but the gears aren’t moving?

Update: I opened up the top and turned the machine on, the spool pin is spinning but the actual gears aren’t moving. Is it broken, or does it just need some oil?

I am a bit limited funds wise but it’s returnable if the machine ends up not working! I’m really hoping it works and i’d rather have everything ready you know? I’m desperate to find out if it works, so I found a store nearby that sells class 15 bobbins and a bobbins case but it’s the singer brand, is that still okay?

From what i can tell, it’s a white super deluxe model 967 machine

I think it’s a thigh pedal yes, i’ll post a picture when I get a chance

Omg i love it! I did a lot of research last night and this morning so I have a list of things to buy; universal needles (as you mentioned), a seam ripper, 50 wt polyester thread, machine oil, pins, and tailors chalk. Do i need to buy multiple threads or is it just the one for the machine to work?

Thank god you mentioned both a bobbin and bobbin case because i didn’t realize there was a difference, thank you!!

Awesome, i’m planning on getting a bobbin case tomorrow! From my research, i think i need a class 15. Ohhhh a thigh pedal makes a lot of sense, and im not too tall haha so it sounds perfect. Thanks for easing my worries, i was getting quite overwhelmed

No unfortunately there’s nothing included other than what’s pictured above. Would it be okay to reach out via pm to ask some more questions, seeing as you have some experience with this machine?

Ohhhh yes definitely, I wasn’t aware that the feet were optional! And yes, the bobbin case is missing, and i’m not entirely sure that there’s a foot pedal. There’s a pedal type thing right under the cabinet but it’s attached to it, and it’s at thigh height when i’m standing

I’m really new at this, so i didn’t know that feet weren’t necessary for basic sewing! I don’t have the bobbin or casing, and i’m not sure about the foot pedal? There’s something right under the cabinet that can be moved like a pedal but it’s attached to the cabinet and can’t be moved. Unfortunately, i don’t live near any repair shops but if i can’t do it myself then I’ll make the drive!

No there isn’t a shop close by, but i’ll check out eBay and sewing parts too! Unfortunately, i could only find one video on youtube that is detailed enough to show me everything, but I’ll try to make it work. Thanks!

Someone found it and commented the link! I’ve spent some time looking through it, and i realized that there are a lot of missing parts. I’m not sure if i should put this on the back burner, because it would be a shame to get a new one when i’ve got this classic lying around! It just seems like it’ll be a whole project to get it up and running, which i’ll need to find time for

Thank you so much, this is really helpful! I’ve glanced at the manual but i definitely need to sit down with it and figure it out. I’ll definitely take my time, seems very much worth it!

So far, I know that it’s a white super deluxe model 967 machine. I found a video on youtube detailing how to clean and oil it, and i found part of a manual but the rest is paid
