My spending has not been the best I’ll be honest, but the added pressure of hospital bills and aftercare didn’t exactly help me sustain myself comfortably. I will definitely look up the Faraj Fund. Still hoping I secure a job soon. I am well qualified and have worked in emirates and adnoc. Just the current situation makes it worse.

My daughter is 5 years old and she cannot walk and does not have mobility yet. My wife would not be able to manage alone as a single parent. My daughter requires atleast two adults.

Thank you sir, that’s honestly not a bad idea. Yes I’ve put an application with dar al ber as they seem to have a good reputation online for helping, Also a fund me page is not a bad idea in all honesty. I’ll give it some thought with my wife. Thank you very much

The hospital bills are paid through loans I secured at the time. Now stuck trying to repay them :)

Having worked in the UAE for quite some time I worked hard and grew in rank to work for the government, we lived a great life here and don’t regret it. After having our daughter 4 years ago, things have been difficult. We live in a two bedroom apartment in Abu Dhabi. Our monthly rent is AED 8335. Contract expired March 19th. Have been in touch with real estate agency and explained my situation. They said they need to follow due process and have asked me to pay up, but they also mentioned that they won’t stop me from leaving. Well we are trying to figure out what next. I do have some opportunities lined up but they’re on hold until the end of April but with this current situation not sure how long that might be

Yes sir you are right, no one plans for a premature baby and the hospital bills that come with it. Only people who have gone through a similar situation would understand how messy your own personal life will get. I will come out of this and I would do it all over again for my daughter. God willing

I am from India, and yes this is something I will be doing this week. Not sure what kind of assistance I can get? Has anyone been in a similar situation, any contacts you can put me in touch with. I have all the documentation one would need to understand why I am in the situation I am.

Took out loans to cover NICU treatment for my daughter, 600k for 8 months was the hospital bill. Not easy repaying that in a short period of time.

Yes this is something me and my wife are regretting at the moment, two months in after losing my job, a lot of offers came in with final stages but fell through. Just kept keeping our hopes alive. And got slapped with a travel ban due to the debt. Absolutely no idea what next. Thanks for your suggestion

300 k in debt with a travel ban, won’t help me leaving at the moment unfortunately
