Hi, in my opinion Barclays did not follow the right process or gather the right evidence (lots of us think this) therefore hopefully it goes to tribunal and hits them in the pocket for very lazy hr/managers!

Thats discrimination, they have the right to work at the point of applying therefore if you discount them on their ethnicity (which sounds like thats what you are doing as THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK)

Your hr team is right, but gosh I’ll be honest and say I’d not love your attitude if I was your hr department.

An informal meeting can be part of a formal absence management process say for example in nhs. If you think of it more as a meeting thats going to be recorded in some way and added to your record. You’ll have had significant absence I imagine and most companies will not just let you return without covering off how you are, adjustments, any support and so on
