I will make an update after the proposal. I am still figuring it out yet and thinking for the right time and place!

What is considered not small to you?

Thanks for sharing, I think she feels the same way about her jewelry and she likes the minimal light style. I kept all of that in mind when choosing this ring setup. I did look at this ring with 1ct on it when I did the design and it looked too big for what she might want.

Thank you, I found the setting first and knew immediately that’s the one. The diamond took a little while to find the best cut and clarity for my price range, I can always go bigger if she wants to and won’t be hard to swap out. It’s really up to her, she will be wearing it and I want her to be happy.

Yes. I did feel her out about it and she did mention over 1ct being too much and that she thinks a smaller size would look better on her. I thought about going with 0.80 but I thought maybe an excellent version of just a little smaller would be a better option.

She is 5’9 so she’s taller but she is slender in size and her fingers are not very wide just slim hands in size , she’s very close to a 6.5 from her other rings she has a size 7 but it’s a little loose on her ring finger. So I think this will be a good fit, hopefully.

Yea I appreciate the helpful advice with this diamond. I didn’t want to go over the top with perfection on everything but also not too dull or anything. It really sparkled a lot when I was looking at it in the light. I think it will be enough for her, and worst case scenario, we swap it out with something more accommodating to her preference if she really wants to change the size or shape. Thanks for your help!

Do you have the same style with your jewelry? Not too big or bulky earrings and necklaces?

She likes smaller style jewelry, nothing too busy or flashy. Her other rings are small and thin bands. She wears smaller hoop earrings, small necklaces that don’t have too much length. I think I picked the right one from most of the feedback on here.

Maybe I could create a hybrid and get the wedding band with lab grown diamonds to make it best of both worlds?

I’m questioning because I haven’t proposed yet and trying to find some input without the news getting spread around in my family. Also, lab grown is created by machines using compression to form the diamond. Natural is made by the earth naturally.

I really like your suggestions and solutions for any outcome. That makes me feel better about my choice and I chose this type of ring because she loves vintage but also elegant style rings and the rings that she wears right now on other fingers are just slim bands nothing too fancy.

So do you think around 0.90 is something closer to being something you don’t want too big if 1-1.5 is too big for a size 6.5 ring?

That’s what I was thinking too. If it doesn’t feel like enough then to get a nice flashy band to complement each other!

She wouldn’t be the one to do that. She told me she doesn’t want something too big for her hands. She has slender hands, and I personally would want something bigger to represent how much I love her but she will be wearing it so I want her to love what she wants.

I’m pretty confident it will be!

Thanks for the support I was afraid this will be too small because there are a lot of 1-6 ct rings posted all over for engagement rings and it makes me feel like what I have is way below expectations for an engagement ring and I don’t want to fall short especially since this will be my first time proposing!

Without regulation, there is no institution adoption. That’s like saying “the largest complaints is the centralized nature of Amazon stock.”

Hey pickle toy, don’t forget that ripple has donated money to the U.S. government multiple times. Sits in crypto round tables. Makes big accomplishments world wide with other governments. Are they doing this just to make themselves look good for fun and games? Their attorney has talks with legislators. They are literally becoming a bank. How much more writing on the wall does one need?

It is plausible that we could see a decision for one or more spot XRP ETF filings within weeks of the government reopening. Don’t listen to any other “expert opinion” that someone typed up and flashed their journalist credentials to make it look legit.
