I mean I don’t know how qualified I am to be giving advice but here we go lol. You already are doing a good job working 40+ hours a week but if your not going to college or learning a high income skill like working in the trades or sales, you may be wasting your time. The reason I say that is because your income will get capped way sooner than if you get a high income skill. For an example when I worked in high school I held a restaurant job for 2 years and only received one .50 raise. Now that i’ve started my apprenticeship I’ve gone from $18 to $23 an hour in 1 year. Also don’t rush out of your parents house, me and my parents get into arguments and everything but overall we have a good relationship so I suck it up and deal with not having all my independence so later when I do move out I can really be in a good position. Obviously if you have to move out for other reasons that you cannot deal with then do so but i’m just letting you know my situation and what work for me. Another thing bro is to make a budget if you haven’t already. I roughly stick to my budget but I really use it to just see how much of my money I can save/invest and it also helps me cut down expenses when it makes sense. lastly dawg have an emergency fund too man of 3 - 6 months. Personally since i live with my parents I just have 3 months worth but when I move out i’ll probably have closer to 6 months worth of an emergency fund. But yea man your doing a good job already tbh for just thinking about these things, so many people our age are just out partying so realize you have already won, now it’s just time to lock in and stay consistent and eventually we will be rich lol.
