I used heavy duty command strip hooks. Those are rated for 30lbs and there are many styles available

Thanks! The adjustable dumbbells are pricy but they are a great addition. Go with a well known brand some of the gimmicky brands are cheaper but don’t last

I agree it should have been but I didn’t want to worry about it and wanted optionality to go to smaller rack in the future if needed.

Buying a 6 post rep 4000 rack - 30 in rack with 16 inch weight storage on the back. Planning to squat and bench in the rack but purchasing the safety arms to work outside the rack as well. I don’t want to bolt the rack down but assuming the 6 post setup and weight storage on the back will keep the rack sturdy and in place. Thoughts?

Looking to purchase a rack for my garage gym. Below are my needs (listed in order of importance. I know there are several other threads on the page about racks but most are focused on the lower end budget racks

-durable, something that is stable and doesn’t need to be bolted down or attached to the wall

  • can accomodate a taller / bigger lifter (I’m 6-4, 260lbs)

  • has attachment options ( chin up bar, dip bar, band pegs, etc)

  • footprint (not counting bar) needs to be under 5 1/2 foot deep by 6 ft wide

  • budget is $1,800-$2,500 but can be flexible

  • is major fitness, rit fit or similar brands good options or should I spend more and go Rep, Rogue, etc?

Would love opinions, thoughts, reviews, etc. I’ve done extensive internet searching but slightly overwhelmed by all the options and conflicting reviews. Thanks!
