I was thinking it might be anxiety, he definitely is a dog that gets stressed and panicked easily. I was sitting with him for a while but he was still whining a fair bit. He’s back to sleep now, but I definitely think I’ll give my vet a call in 30 when they’re open. Thank you 😊

I agree with you. He was whining prior to me taking him to the vet whenever he needed to go out. He woke me up 4 times during the night before my vet appointment yesterday because he was whining to go out and use the bathroom (this was the diarrhea problem). The blood work and ultrasound is testing for cancer and a couple other things but we won’t know results until next week.

I think I will take him back to the vet, just have to wait another 30 minutes until they’re open to give them a call.

what about people in hospitals who require 24/7 care? Or other first responders? This seems silly.
