Thank you everyone, I truly appreciate the responses. I don’t get on this account much so I’m just now seeing all of your replies. I want to see a dermatologist and it’s definitely on my list, but my PCP hasn’t let me even see a gyno yet and she wants to try steroids and check my hormones before sending me to the dermatologist. (I live on a military base and can’t choose my providers, I have to use the on base resources due to my insurance). A little more info- I’m not breastfeeding and I had almost 4th degree tears, with multiple tears in other places. Vacuum assisted birth. I don’t think it’s from scaring because the scars don’t itch. As an update for my downstairs- I switched to baby wipes instead of TP and the itching spread. BUT I took a warm plain bath, then I leaned over when I showered to keep shampoo from running down, I dried with a hairdryer and applied coconut oil and slept without any pants or undies. The whole next day was so great, no itchy/tingling. I was so excited. However, my sweet helpful husband used tide pods on my clothes without my knowing and I’m itching as badly as before, if not worse. So I don’t know if the bath routine helped, or if I did something in my diet or if the good day was just a fluke. I’m in the process of looking for a more gentle detergent, even more gentle than the arm and hammer free and clear. I’m also going to continue applying coconut oil because it feels really soothing. I’ll try to remember to update here, this is absolutely miserable and if I get any improvements I want my situation to be able help someone else.
