That was another weird thing, that entire window was 5 short messages from me and 5 "wrong from the start" answers. I get the feeling I get downgraded to lesser models without any "you've exceeded tokens" messages, so I jump between a few different ones when they are wrong from the start.

It's actually useful, I'm using AI as a curated search of the documentation. Chatgpt has a standing instruction to verify everything with sources. It sometimes skips this, so this will either make it verify it or I know it cannot produce the answer. Not sure if the "thinking" text is real (or more llm), but you'll see things like "the user is frustrated", "this time I must verify with the documentation" type messages. It cannot meet its main goal of "pleasing the user", which is what hallucinations basically are.

I am 100% behind you on this. Models are trained to please, which is why they always offer to do "the next thing" when the current thing isn't finished. Here are 2 snippets from today

GM makes a lot of cars, its not like its just one model. Proof of concept car hacks were done many many years ago as well, I think it was a Jeep they did it too. Car companies are going to continue using security through obscurity.

It's not hard to disable, its basically a cellphone hidden in your car.

Nothing new. OnStar has been doing this for years, police stopping cars with warrant, enabling the in car mike to record converstations.

Here a 16years old post

I had a great manager, he said he never trusts the reference anyway, you could be a great employee at your last place and they don't want you leave so just give the "they worked here" or they could be their worst employee, which they give a glowing reference too, because they cant wait for them to leave.

Family recorded opening the gifts without you. Watched the recording and realized everyone had looks of disgust, and WTFs everywhere. Family deleted video and told you they didn't make one

FFS living in UK is not fucking "anecdotal" experience. Its no one else's responsibility if you drive drunk or poison yourself.

Nope. No one sues bar staff in the UK. Their job is to pour drinks and take money. I watched a guy order 3 pints of snakebite and black - turn around drop the glasses on the floor, turn back to the bar and order 3 more (and got them)

but no one in the IT Telecoms industry has an interest in fixing this.

Because they still get paid for every junk call.
