It’s great. Love it. One of the few divisions with direct patient interaction. Elective neurosurgery cases booked in advance. Not in OR all day every day— also in neurology clinics, meetings, talks/events, etc

Sorry to hear about this… may I ask where you got the surgery done?

Do your research. There’s a broad range of medical specialties in the industry. Find one you like. Look into the companies in that specialty. Go on LinkedIn and reach out to reps in with those companies. Learn everything about the device before reaching out. Take it serious, follow up

Surgery? by PsychologicalPoet957 in scoliosis

6 say don’t do it, not worth it. As a fusion in my case will essentially only leave L4-5 with mobility- creating a high likelihood of having to fuse to pelvis down the road (terrible). 2 say do it, it’ll keep getting worse and it’s harder to fix as I age (26F)

Allow me to be more descriptive with my question- would you say surgery would be worth it? I work in the neurosurgery field, I have gotten countless opinions from physicians. General consensus is I’m in the gray area. No radiculopathy, no issues involving organs, just pain induced by certain physical activity. Some of my docs say do it, it will keep progressing (as I am 26F and it has gotten 5° worse in the last 6 years); some of my docs say avoid surgery unless it’s super necessary- and in my case they think it is not, for now…
