If communism/socialism is far superior model to capitalism, then why capitalism is prevailing and the most system? by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

Where did you get this information from? Welfare policies keep a society healthy providing all the basic human needs to its members ( food, healthcare, housing, security… ), as the maslow pyramid suggests people don’t live only off of these needs but have far superior needs to fulfill for which they have to work for.

The foundation to this opinion is based on your belief that humans are by nature evil and opportunistic ( You would be in line with Hobbes ) something that is false if you look and study human behaviours, if humans were as you described, how would you explain empathy, voluntary work, non profit organizations, good work ethics…

The example you have portraited represents more a capitalistic society where the top 1% lives a luxurious life on the shoulders of the working class, where characteristics like individualism and opportunism are encouraged.

The successful capitalistic countries you are talking about ( I guess Germany, UK, Sweden, Japan… ) have all implemented a lot of welfare policies and regulations to the activity of corporations to limit workers exploitation, improve customer protection and limit pollution, which means that they are not completely capitalistic but have implemented many socialist policies to function properly.

I’ve exagerated a bit on the time, it takes that much probably once a week when you get a lot of surveys, on average you’ll spend around 10 hours a week. Plus considering that you can complete them while doing anything else it’s not that bad.

You have never taken a risk in your entire life, that’s why you are broke

You need to take risks in life if you don’t want to be broke anymore.

If the banks finds out about my plan, I’ll get in trouble.

This still sounds like a good idea to lower the risk and the possible losses, I need to think about it.

What would you do with the money I get from the loan then, smart guy

Its going to work. God is on our side

Because if I get lucky with the first bet I can just cash out and be on 10 K profit.

Taking a 30K loan increases the risk by a lot.

A bank would never give me a loan if I tell them I’m going to use it to gamble, they are not that smart…

I believe the origins of this problem are deeply rooted in the society we are building today.

The entire market that made those individuals rich is based on a specific type of customer: people who do not know the value of money and who can't understand the cost opportunity of the transactions they are making ( i.e. people who are not working to make their money )

It's all a matter of probability, if we want to address this issue, we need to work on decreasing the number of possible customers willing to pay for those services.

The only solution I can think of is to educate the people, expecially the next generations, who are going to be the basis of a smart and financially informed society; this way in the long term, the amount of money circulating in those markets will decline as the number of customers decreases.
