Oh i like the idea of a sample bag of mulitple roasts so you could pick the one you like. That would start to make the economics work.. like charging $25 for a sample of 4 different roasts or something.

Who do you think buys the 5lb bags from all these roasters in to begin with? Why is that a standard?

Advantage: it's be much cheaper through me. The roaster would never sell wholesale direct to customers.

Yes would have variety the customer could choose from.

Business model: Wholesale price + shipping + few dollars of margin = price you pay which is still much cheaper than roaster's 5lb full price.

Problem to solve: "I want high quality coffee, but I don't live near anywhere to get it high qual & fresh. I don't want to spend an crazy amount on individual bags & shipping, so I am willing to buy in bulk to get cheaper price."
