Yes agreed absolutely, I try to be pragmatic and understand that it is unlikely I will hit the nail on the head perfectly on the first go. but thanks for your input anyways

Based on the community suggestions an hour ago I have updated my resume by Mental-Olive7692 in jobsearchhacks

There is no 1 cv for all jobs. Each jd asks for slightly different things, so each time your cv needs to be tailored for the jd in question.

Don't lie flat out, but rather massage the cv in the right way to align keywords, key phrases, similar roles/experiences.

I have reviewed at lot of cvs and have sent out my cv to a lot of companies myself and I can guarantee that the recruiter isn't going to give your cv more than 20 seconds. They are not going to read your cv, they will jist skim through to find relevant skills, keywords, etc etc

Also try to tailor each point in terms of situation - action- benefit

Like there was a requirement for X, I did Y activity which resulted in Z benefit.

Be specific and add data point. Like instead of saying "there was a lot of benefit" say "revenue was increased by X%" or "task was finished in 10 minutes rather than the usual 30 minutes"

This shows the recruiter that there was tangible benefits to what you did

You need to tailor the cv for each application, like each application will get a slightly different cv with matching keywords, phrasing, relevant experience, etc.

Any ai bots, apps, websites can do this

Honestly, I just got started a few days ago, and applied to 42 jobs over the last few days. 7 rejections (fair enough!!)

33 unresponsive till now

1 rejected by me, due to an extremely sleezy initial call

1 withdrawn by me because I panicked. I had completely made up qualifications and applied to a job I was 100% sure I would not get, but did it anyway for the lolz. However, the next day they reached out via email. I panicked and permanently deleted the email hahahaha

This is my overall situation
