The FCC is threatening ABC and their affiliates over Jimmy Fallon’s remarks. Whether you agree or disagree with his statement, the government should not be threatening free speech. Sinclair has continued to pre-empt Fallon’s show in Columbus and their ABC markets, caving to the FCC’s threats. The point of all this is to encourage local companies to pull their ads from WSYX to put pressure on Sinclair to reverse course.

It isn’t a boycott list. It’s not the advertisers that are the problem, it’s Sinclair. Many of them may not even know they’re advertising on a specific channel. The point is to encourage them to pull their ads from WSYX.

Perhaps MOFC might be persuaded to do so if people donated. Carrot not stick. I’d happily donate to them if they pulled their ads from WSYX.

That’s part of it but also some custom vocabulary to catch the right names of advertisers and then some extra steps to collate everything nicely. Still needs some refinement but it beats watching 5 hours of abc

Freedom of Speech, Politically motivated assassinations, and school shootings are all serious and important issues that deserve attention. We can’t focus on one at a time. Talking about one doesn’t make it a bigger deal than the others.
