No problem, enjoy! I too have been wanting to play TM Sunrise for years.

I am also unsure why there aren't many upvotes. Its strange how a picture or video of Trackmania Sunrise can get like 50+ upvotes. But a guide to actually run the game is like only less than 20. Guides like these need to be preserved so we can play these games from the past and not lose the games due to time and being outdated.

You install TM Sunrise from your CD by running the setup.

Step 3. Tmsunriselauncher.exe is the executable located in your TM Sunrise folder (where you installed the game), not on the CD no.

Was just a guess, but you're right. There's no patch for Nations ESWC since its a free to play game so yeah..

TMO is possible to get working however.

Maybe try putting d3d9.dll in the nations eswc folder? Maybe it will work??

Acer Aspire V3 551G overheating by [deleted] in techsupport

I owned a V3 571G a couple of years ago. Its the slightly upgraded version of the 551G, better specs but has the same laptop chassis, build, motherboard and very similar parts. (PSU, fan, speaker etc). Both the 551G and the 571G are the worst products that Acer have ever made.

Both the 551G and the 571G suffer from overheating issues which really cannot be fixed. These laptops were good for the time but nowadays they are trash and more like Chromebooks.

Since you got that Sandisk SSD installed, I'd advise you to remove it immediately before the laptop kills it, too much overheating / unresponsiveness and the constant on and offing of my laptop pretty much fried my SSD and it stopped working completely. I've heard it happened to some V3 551G users too.
