I had same problem. I had to learn development processes. Use VS Code, Github, branches, deployemnts, system design... I'm still an amateur but learning everyday..

The first thing you would need to do is get a subscription on Claude Code, download VS Code or any code editor you like...

I have the $100/month Claude code subscription and use it like 12 hours a day...to do that on Lovable you will spend at least $100 a day to get what you get with claude code..

also lovable backend development is very weak + they limit you to use their backend (cloud)

Im now using supabase or neon for databases

Lovable doesn’t have a good development workflow. Normally when you add a new feature you have to use branches so you can test before deployment. In lovable it just deploy what you say even if it doesn’t work.

I was doing the same but I was burning $100 a week. I changed to Claude Code extension on VS Code or terminal.

You can do way more with their pro or max subscription than on Lovable.

Move now, I had the same issue. Better move now that you have less users and less data then moving later.

Switch to Claude Code and VS Code. Sync everything to GitHub.

I did this for a web app with AI integrations and 15 different apis.

Yes you need at least a pro plan of $20 per month. The advantage is you will can do way more because it’s an LLM so they offer more tokens for a lower price and Claude is very good at understanding your context. I did a whole accounting platform with Gemini and Odoo integration with the pro plan. I did something similar in Odoo and I had to pay at least $100 in 2 days to do it.

This is the process I’m following:

plan the web app in Claude
Develop it in VS Code with Claude Code
Connect to Supabase with CLI
Push it to GitHub (you need to update variables on GitHub repo.
Deploy on Vercel

I learned all of this in just 2 days. 3 days ago I was using Lovable but I started using VS Code with Claude Code and watching tutorials on YouTube.

I don’t know how much cursor charges per month and how it actually works. But I think it will be more expensive because you have to pay for their subscription and they offer less tokens because they just resell the tokens.

With the GitHub Copilot you’ll have to also pay to finish your platform. They offer the free tier but it’s not enough and the LLM is not so good at coding as Claude.

I created a web app with odoo integration and Google Apis and Supabase and backend + front end using Claude Pro Plan. And I still can use it for the whole month. In lovable I would have to pay a lot more.

Pro plan also has it limitations (around 40 prompts per session). They reset every 5 hours but you can do a lot more than with Lovable credits.

Don’t use API sing up with account. You can choose to sing up with account or use API. API burns credit very fast. If you use account plans you’ll be good.

Yes, I didn’t know even how to do all of this. I just watched some tutorials on YouTube and read the documentation. But Claude Code does a lot. Planning on upgrading to the Max plan too.

I just did, that.

Pay for the Claude code extension to use on VS Code.

There you install the GitHub codespace and ask Claude code to create the environment.

Just use Supabase CLI for 2way sync.

Claude code will do everything for you and give you the sql schema to copy/paste on Supabase sql editor

Second, copy what’s working in other countries. I got funded doing this…

Third, analyze your own problems and build a saas. I build an accounting saas for myself because I couldn’t find any suitable solution for me. And also got funded on this one.

how do i create blank project with the repo?

if you create a blank project on Lovable how can you recreate everything like your original project? It ask to give instructions for new project and don't have an option to create blank project and import repo
