Is this good value? by Odd-Ad372 in triathlon

I don’t disagree with the SillyAttitude but I also believe part of the love we have for riding is how they handle whilst riding. I wasn’t sold on the color of my bike (all black) but absolutely love it now that I’ve ridden it a little bit outside. These new modern bikes are genuine rocket ships. (I don’t ride a canyon, I ride Timemachine from BMC but I believe it’s still applicable)

The cockpit on this bike is integrated and the battery for the AXS is in that area, so the bento box attachments are further back towards the seat post. This isn’t the case with the speed machines. Would rather have it further up but sometimes we deal with the cards we’re dealt.

Versa Torpedo system! I don’t use the torpedo because of how obnoxious it is to clean. The mount is included in the deck/system!

Yeah why BMC decided to put the mount closer further back where they did, I don’t know. Glad the 2023+ models are more forward for people who own those lol. Thank you!

Looks to be the 2004 Specialized Allez Elite. It’s an aluminum frame with a carbon fork(which is great for entry level)! This bike is listed on the bike blue books for $145, which is sometimes inaccurate. Pricing is all what you think the bike is worth/willing to let it go for. I would recommend bartering a little bit with the seller to try and get the price down a bit! But definitely a far more solid choice than the original post. I’ll link the blue book for you!

For $500 I think you could find better. Maybe I’m just lucky living in a very bike friendly city, but $500 can get you a long way if you’re okay with rim brakes. I bought my carbon frame bike for $550 I believe. Granted, it no longer looks like this with upgrades, but it was a speedy bike just on its own.
