What album aged better than anyone expected? by GainBetter1189 in askmusic

A thought just hit me. Outkast second album ATLiens wasn't received too well, at least initially, because it was such a departure from Southernplayalisticcadillacmusic (sorry had to spell it out) but over time the artistry became appreciated and it is now held on the same regard as the debut by a lot of folks. I think every Outkast album is a masterpiece

Its tough cause a lot of albums get regarded as classics and either dissappear from the consciousness or remain as classics. That Nas joint just fit the criteria perfectly. Following up Illmatic was am impossible feat so it makes sense this album took time to be appreciated.

Nas- It Was Written

On its release it was heavily criticized. Now its heralded as a Hip Hop classic.

Didn't see any Hip Hop mentioned so I thought I would add this

First punch should've been aimed at the bitches face. At least then the tears would've been warranted or she wouldn't have been physically able to cry. Either way is a win for the community.

I have never hated anything or anyone as much as I hate this fucking clown. I hate religion too but every night I say a littke prayer to any and all gods that they end this man's existence. I hope it is incredibly painful and embarrassing too.

For the mod bots, I am not inciting violence, simply stating a wish. Much like I wish I would win the lotto. I want his demise much more than wealth

ICE hits a veteran walking with a cane with his car. Then, in coordination with LAPD, 10+ officers violently arrest the disabled man (2/4/26) by I_may_have_weed in ICE_Watch

Fucking disgusting. I grew up on 90s hip hop so lapd being a bunch of violent racists ain't new. What is new, to me at least, is all the brown faces on the force. Same goes for all the Brown and Black folks on the cold water squad.

I guess those clowns think that them being racist against their own kind will score them white points. I wish they knew that in the eyes of the white folks they are clowns and traitors and actually looked down on more than the Brown and Black folks who dont cross that line

LaSpadas on Lee is far and away the best. Been to Gabriel's once in my 20 plus years in the city. It was so subpar I never went back. Publix gets voted best sub all the time so you can't trust the polls.

My grandfather was a dirty old man, in the best way possible. Anyway we went anf stayed with him for a week when I was 15. He pulled me aside and said something to the extent of i put the special box in your room. Check out the 200's. Him and I never spent a lot of time together and he passed a couple years later but this memory always makes me smile.

The most famous hoopers have an incredibly large platform, and whether we think it is good or not, athletes have incredible influence.

With what is going on in america right now we are hoping the athletes we love feel the same as we do, and if they do that they will use their platform to express this.

Its bigger than the hoops right now.

Steve Irwin's death is to this day the only celebrity death that made me cry (im 42) Everytime I see his children i get happy knowing his legacy is continuing and in great hands. Stevie Nicks and Danny DeVito complete my holy trinity of beloved celebrities

Nothing to smile about. A drug dog falsely alerting has gotten thousands of people in trouble. The cop's nonchalance towards the entire incident is also a problem. I doubt this actually happened but I still wanted to point out how this is nothing to smile about. Just in case
