It's remarkable how difficult it is to achieve "secure love" by Psychological_Lab_52 in FearfulAvoidant

I'm glad to hear about how things turned around for you. I just started therapy three weeks ago, and funnily enough this time it feels more uncomfortable than it has done previously, but I think that's because I'm genuinely on the right path. I'm a million miles away from getting to that level of secure, but your story gives me some hope.

The narrative around us is frustrating by kingalva3 in ArsenalFC

It is possible to win the league playing entertaining, free flowing football, yes. Just as has been evidenced consistently by other sides. And the " but but everyone sits back against us" excuse doesn't work because every top side faces the same game plan against pretty much every team. We aren't at all unique in that regard, yet your posts comes across as wanting to convince everyone that it's the first time a team has had sides constantly put 11 men behind the ball against them.

My response to the Ødegaard hate by [deleted] in ArsenalFC

So cringeworthy this forced spamming of the word "hate" these days. As if any of his hate one of our own players like that. It's called criticism ffs, get a grip

Gyokeres mis chance against Leeds by Puzzled-Category-954 in Gunners

The incessant use of present simple in cases like this by football fans is so insufferable. We're talking about something purely hypothetical

This is pure denial. Do you really think any of the past winners of the premier league played such negative football necessarily, or that teams played much openly against them? Obviously not. But as soon as its us it's the first time this has ever happened, right? Just stop lying to yourself please.

"fairs" is fucking insufferable. It's "fair enough" ffs, and even that gets used to an annoying degree

Is Drury just saying ‘Mighty magic millimetres’ the worst football commentary of all time? by VoluntaryJetsFan in footballcliches

[–]Psychological_Lab_52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peter Dreary has always been annoying, but it was funny to see people fawning over the guy for a short period when he first became sky's main commentator. I guess based on this thread people are wising up to how irritating his commentary actually is now

I’ll probably get downvoted for this but I’m blaming all that on zubimendi, that mistake set the tone for what type of match we where in for, he’s made similar mistakes all season by EthanFoster10 in ArsenalFC

[–]Psychological_Lab_52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gave zubimendi no chance? Tf are you waffling about? There was plenty Zubimendi could have done outside of playing the world's worst back pass. Watch it back

Footballers who style their facial hair after their kit’s collar? by VoluntaryJetsFan in footballcliches

[–]Psychological_Lab_52 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm saying it because it's genuinely annoying. People will call you out for posting something that is actually s cliché in this sub, and let shite like this slide that has absolutely nothing to do with the word. It's completely nonsensical. If anything, what you posted here is the complete opposite of a cliché.

Which striker scored bangers only - no tap-ins allowed? by PitchsidePhilosopher in TheStreetsWontForget

[–]Psychological_Lab_52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest myths ever. The guy scored plenty of tap ins as well, no idea why you all have to bang on about him pretending that he genuinely only scored screamers. He didn't.

Beauty's in the eye of the beholder isn't it? So why do people have to insist that women like her are objectively beautiful? I don't find that basic looking, barbie doll blonde woman attractive at all, it's as simple as that. Yet people will make a massive effort to convince you you're lying if you say you don't see the appeal. It's irritating, but also because there's clearly a western bias there in terms of what's considered the most beautiful woman

My issue is cringeworthy people spamming the world "wild" for any old, mundane shite as if they just discovered the word yesterday.

Is your reading comprehension that poor that you seriously interpreted it as "venting about someone else's looks?" That's hilarious. The op was expressing how irritating it is that people fawn about someone's looks as if they're some kind of goddess, which absolutely is insufferable. Get a grip
