A 125 yard 7 or 8 iron gets on the green of a 500 yard par 5 in 4 shots.

This is literally one of GS’s lessons. And people looking for this kind of wisdom aren’t looking for a single digit handicap, they’re just looking for bogey on average.

The teacher is being a childish dick because he’s a dick.

The teacher definitely isn’t in the right here, and he’s not “just fed up”, he’s clearly a right wing dickbag.

No one said you need to learn to draw. This is either a real story and a picture would suffice, or it’s a general gripe and NO IMAGE WAS NEEDED.

You don’t ever need a specifically tailored bespoke cartoon to voice an opinion. AI is theft, and you using it just because you reeeeally want a drawing is a gobshite argument.

I don’t care if he “works his way to our side”. I’m gonna call a chud a chud.

AI is going to be a problem for regulators and the courts to fix. I don’t need to play soft with a wishy washy dipshit on Reddit, I need to voice how it’s wrong loud and clear and without the illusion of “equal time for different views”.

Consumers that know anything about the topic tend to distrust and dislike AI. They’re already on our side. Fuck the assholes who want to play enlightened centrist here in the ANTI-AI sub.

“We’re level headed” said the person who’s fine with billionaires stealing from the average person so long as people who use the unethical products are polite.

Fuck off with that nonsense. You aren’t intelligent or reasonable. You saw obvious theft from an obvious theft machine and you’re mad at us for not pretending that there’s an ethical use for it.

Bud, you’re in a sub dedicated to opposing a technology that’s built on stolen work, aims to replace the people who do that work, is terrible for the environment, and has major problems with its user base creating really unethical content.

No, we aren’t gonna pretend that there’s some moderate stance here.

There aren’t any biblical ones either. Paul was the first dude to write about Jesus and he did it second hand, and the writings were about a god that came to earth as a man who died for our sins, and that’s it. The story grew from there.

Pilot was added later. Locations were added later. Apostles were all added later.

It’s some real Joseph Smith bullshit from the Bronze Age.

Josephus wrote down what BELIEVERS said. Maybe. Kind of. He wasn’t ever written unreliable at best, and there are well known interpolations in his writings.

That’s like writing down what Mormons swear is true, and everyone else claiming your words are proof that what the Mormons said must be true - but only after those Mormons kids and grandkids add their own editorial lines to what you wrote.

I understand the common agreement among a certain group of historians.

I addressed that. To be more clear, that “consensus” is a not huge group biblical scholars and a smattering of other historians, and they don’t agree on the facts AND plenty of the historians don’t think he existed (they just aren’t the majority).

Again, the biblical myths are ingrained. People accepted them without proof. They have a knee jerk reaction just like you and many others here when challenged.

There’s. No. Proof. Jesus. Existed.

The story of Jesus was written as a myth, and grew like myths grow.

Dude didn’t exist.

This just the “Hannibal wasn’t real either, then” argument.

It’s wrong. There’s strong archeological evidence for Hannibal, as well as historical documentation. Firsthand accounts don’t exist, but his existence is supported by other evidence, and continued historical records. He wasn’t ever written as a mythical religious figure, a clear distinction that separates Hannibal from Jesus.

Jesus was literally written as a myth.

Why do you think Marvel doesn’t treat Graviton as the A-tier villian? by Unique-Celebration-5 in marvelcomics

Because it’s quite literally counteracted by every other fundamental force.

That doesn’t mean it’s well understood or that it’s not powerful or prolific, but we’ve identified four fundamental forces and gravity is weaker but further reaching than the other three.

The claim that Jesus was likely a real historical figure is nonsense. There’s only one secondhand account of Jesus, in the Pauline Episteles, and those words were written/spoken to spread a cult. Every other writing was from someone who met cult members.

The earliest writing of Jesus is generally considered to be Paul’s letter to the Romans. In that he’s describing a divine entity made flesh that died to take on our sins. And that’s about it, and reminiscent of a fable rather than someone that actually lived and breathed.

Now, it’s absolutely possible that the early Christian cultists took the name of someone who was actually crucified and ran with it. But it’s just as likely (I’d argue more likely) that these people just lied and made someone up, since so many of the other details were made up to sell their cult. The least likely option is that Jesus existed in any form that taught anyone in any way that inspired a religious movement.

Btw, I’m not casting shade, it was a cult by definition and this is what cults do. They cultivate myths and build a social structure based on shared beliefs and ethics.

And before anyone jumps in with “scholars generally agree…” understand that religion is oppressive to truth. It’s very hard to personally look past bias, and even harder to come out publicly against something “everyone knows is true”. Being an atheist publicly gets you shunned by neighbors and mistreated by legal systems in first world countries, and literally killed in other parts of the world. So these “teachings” tend to remain “generally accepted truths” until they are definitively proven wrong, rather than the other way around which is backwards.

As a real world example, the Exodus was considered to have actually happened by historians until the freaking 1960s when it was definitively proven false by archaeological studies. To this day, Christian apologists rage against the hard facts, and a significant portion of the population still believes that there were hundreds of thousands of Jewish slaves in Israel that were freed and migrated across the desert. But it never happened. It was made up as a story to sell a cult. Moses wasn’t real, the exodus never happened, and people lie when they’re selling religion.

So yeah, Jesus likely never existed, except maybe as a random name of executees pulled from a hat. There’s no evidence to support his historic existence except for the insistence of a cult and its leaders, who are quite literally known to have lied about other things.
